Introducing Calculated Metrics for Google Analytics

Calculated Metrics are user-defined metrics that are computed from existing metrics and drive more relevant analyses and enable greater actionability without leaving the product.

To create a new calculated metric in Google Analytics follow these steps:

1. Select the Admin tab
2. Navigate to the appropriate VIEW
3. Click on Calculated Metrics
4. Click on NEW CALCULATED METRIC

Creating Challenging Content Paths: The S.I.C. Content Framework

Since first reading the Challenger Sale back in 2012 while working for an organization that was adopting Challenger methodology, I've been fascinated with idea of incorporating the mode into things like content marketing, lead nurturing, and lead scoring models.   

The recent release of the Challenger Customer starts to dive into the key areas that were missing from the original book - specifically, how marketing teams can adapt to embrace this new approach.

This post is intended to summarize a new framework B2B #contentmarketers  can use to incorporate this model into their efforts. Sorry for the spam!  Admins Needed!
Hey folks - apologies for the the lousy job I've done at keeping spammers out and letting this great community go in the wrong direction.

Truth is - I don't have the time to keep up with this the way I once did, so I could really use some help from a few trustworthy people who are passionate about building this community as a hub for sharing best practices around use of the Adobe Marketing Cloud.

It would be great to find at least one rep from +Adobe Marketing Cloud to join since this is based around their brand.

If interested, please shoot me a note in the comments about your interest and why you think you're qualified. I'm looking to find 3-4 admins to help update the community and keep conversations helpful and spam free!

Question:
We want to fire a trigger when {{element url}} does not contain a value we are grabbing from the data layer but the Value for comparison only accepts static text values. Any suggestions on how best to achieve this?

Why?  We're using a single container across multiple domains but still wish to be able to track outbound clicks. I can't wrap my head around how to indicate it's actually outbound without specifying the domain...

Can you evaluate it using hostname? - you'll probably end up using a customJS variable but the logic is if the element url does not contain the current page hostname it is Outbound.

Tradeshow Attendee Lists

HubSpot users - what's your position on importing and emailing trade show attendee lists acquired solely through sponsorship? What does your own company's policy state?

I expected HubSpot to take a clear stance of "no way" but surprisingly they advised the opposite, and their support material on the subject takes conflicting sides. I wonder what +Brian Halligan thinks?

Very professional, and nice work. I took my car here for some minor body repairs. Throughout the repair they called daily to provide me with an update, so I was never left wondering how things were progressing. Their estimated timeline was spot on as well. When I picked up the car, it looked great on the outside, but once I got in I noticed that a part of the driver seat was damaged - something I had never seen before, so I assumed it was damaged during the repair. I came back in and told them about it, and when at first they suggested it was like that when I brought it in I got a bit heated. In fact, I was a bit of a jerk. We went into their office and reviewed detailed photos they had taken of the car when I first dropped it off. In doing so it became obvious that I was wrong, and the damage was of my own doing. Although I had made the conversation a bit tense, they never lost their cool and remained very professional and polite the entire time. Their handling of that situation really earned my respect. If you want quality work, and quality people, this is a great place to go.

Despite having called several days earlier to cancel, we were still charged for a night we did not stay. I've tried calling multiple times but cannot reach accounting, even after staying on hold several times for 30 minutes. When trying to speak to the front desk they transfer me immediately without even saying hello. The stay was nice, but the way Hyatt has been handling this now that they already have our money is extremely disappointing and frustrating.

My wife and I went on an hour long ride at B & R Stables and had a wonderful time. It was a relaxing ride, the horses were very laid back and friendly, and cantering was a blast! The trail takes you through the woods, across a field, and past a small pond in a secluded, scenic part of the state. The staff was very friendly, taught us a ton, and clearly love the horses they keep there. We've gone on rides in St. Lucia, Ireland, and on a ranch in Montana, but this was one of our most enjoyable rides we've been on. Worth every penny.

Couldn't be happier to live right around the corner from Cheshire Nursery. Bill has been extremely helpful every time we've come down to visit and has taken time to answer all of the questions we've had, and Rick and another employee came out to our house to walk through the yard with us to help us come up with ideas and understand how to take care of the many flowers, trees and shrubs growing in our yard. They've earned our business and we'll be coming there for years to come.
