My feature on GT Academy and just how amazing this 'dreams come true' experience has been for some.

Alright, this year has been a cracker for tablets, phones are starting to hit a peak across the board, and laptops are stagnant. Quick question: what device combo are you using? Phone / tablet / laptop / desktop / whatever.

Less than an hour to go. Please support this great app concept which aims to help people have real conversations about depression issues. The Pozible campaign will score a bonus $10,000 if they have the most individual backers and they're just a handful behind the competition so even $1 donations will go a long way at this stage.

Want to go beyond the basic 'Are you OK?' and really try to help a friend who in need? BeyondBlue has an app on Pozible it's hoping to get off the ground called 'The Check-In'. Some clever ideas on helping people know how to ask the right questions and be the best friend they can.

Please give to this great initiative if you can.

Disclosure: I was lucky enough to play a very small part in this project.

First quick thoughts on iPad Air. Until I got it in hand I was in the "obviously I will buy a retina mini" camp. It seemed a no brainer. All the same specs in a trimmed down size. This past year I found I've used an iPad mini twice as much as I ever used a retina iPad -- and I loved my iPad!

Now I've had the Air over the weekend (loaner from Apple) I'm not sure anymore. I have big hands and I can now get a firm grip on the Air in one hand. But it's also got that little bit more 'gravity' on my desk when it's sitting a little further away.

I'll wait until I've seen the new mini in a few weeks, but right now the Air is actually in the running.
