Can you take the pressure? The pressure at the deepest part of the ocean is more than the human body can handle, but just how many tons of pressure per square meter are there? Give us a guess in the comments & check back tomorrow for the answer. http://buff.ly/22JQsZ4

Trivia Time: The deepest part of the ocean packs a hefty punch – the pressure down there is more than 11,318 tons per square meter! That’s comparable to 1 person holding the weight of 50 jumbo jets, wow! http://buff.ly/1Zs9tgN

Is ecotourism activities on your summer wish list? This is sure to put them there!

The Half Moon Bay Coastside offers a wealth of ecotourism activities. Our California Coastside has some of the richest marine reserves and wetlands on the California, small working farms where you can explore a barnyard and dine on farm-fresh organic produce. There is a unique shopping district on historic Main Street, lodging accommodations for the traveler, many tidepooling areas, fishing for wild salmon or albacore tuna, and much more. http://goo.gl/O7q4hg ‪#‎halfmoonbay‬
VisitHalfMoonBay.org has a whole section of our site devoted to Ecotourism. Please follow the links for more specifics about things to do during your stay.

Excellent find. Very accommodating staff specially Kevin and Stacey. Seals were a plus. Will definitely come back.
Response from the owner - 3 months ago
Hello Nouhad Bassila, You certainly know how to make us smile form ear to ear; thank you for the great five-star review! We'll love sharing your compliments with Kevin and Stacey; we know it will make their day! The seals on the beaches just below our inn never fail to mesmerize us, and we love knowing you enjoyed them as much as we do. We look forward to welcoming you back to our slice of coastal tranquility.

Beautiful, big and comfortable room. Countryside location far away from traffic noise, though there is a little avionic noise from the nearby airport during daytime. Easy access ro the beach and the Marine Reserve. Surrounded by garden and forest, with beautiful oceanside trails. Excellent breakfast. Very clean, lots of free parking. Recommended.
Response from the owner - a year ago
Hello Yitzhak Weissman, You're excellent 5 star review has made our day and put smiles on everyone's faces, thank you! We're thrilled to hear that our spacious rooms, comfy beds, cleanliness and tranquil location all offered you a fantastic vacation. Our coastal location between the beach and the forest is one of our favorite qualities; we love knowing you feel the same. The only thing we love more than a five star review is welcoming back familiar faces; we can't wait to see you again in the future.

Recommend this place. Another charming bed and breakfast by Four Sisters Inn. This one is in a beautiful location. It is close to the ocean and near a beautiful ocean bluff trail. It also has a lovely garden in the back where I enjoyed their complimentary late afternoon snacks. Take note that this place is in Half Moon Bay, where it's often cold and cloudy, so bring your jackets or go somewhere else if you want warmer weather and sunshine. I stayed in room 5 on the top floor. Huge room with a fireplace, a small balcony and a beautiful view of the garden and the ocean. The room also came with a large bathroom and jacuzzi and a comfortable king size spring mattress. However, the room is quite simple and bare. Service was good. Enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine, breakfast and late afternoon snacks. Overall, a great stay.

Beautiful location, wonderful walking trails, relaxing atmosphere. My wife and I have stayed at least eight times dating back to 1999 and it is a great place to quickly unwind. This past Monday we were enthralled by watching from one of the cliff trails harbor seals resting and playing on the beach. What a show. Privately run again and no longer part of the Four Sisters Inns group which means hearty breakfasts are cooked to order and served (as opposed to continental buffet type breakfasts).
