Have you encountered the daunting task of towing your classic?

I tow a 2011 Keystone Alpine 3500RE with my Ford F-350.  I was told that the Firestone Airbag kit would help stabilize the ride even more than having Dual Real Wheels.

The purpose of this post is to share an experience of being victimized, hoping that none of my RV’ing family is victimized as I was.

On July 8, 2015, I ordered the DEI-2550 Firestone Airbag Kit from SDTruckSprings.com for my 2010 Ford F-350 King Ranch 4x4 DRW truck.  I also ordered an air compressor to use for inflation of these airbags via wireless remote.  The total order cost was $630.00 (Six Hundred Thirty Dollars).

The shipment was delivered on July 13, 2015 via interstate commerce.

I asked a neighbor who is a mechanic and United States Navy Submariner if he would assist me with installing the airbags and compressor.

July 17, 2015 was the first day my neighbor had off to assist.  As with most expensive items I order on line, I video taped opening the boxes in the event there was any damage or other issues with the order.

Please view the videos at the links below.

What I received was a returned and repackaged kit, and we do not even know if it has all of the parts.  The two videos show my neighbor and I opening the boxes, which proves that the kit that SDTruckSprings.com sent was obviously previously sold, returned and re-packaged.  Arguably, SDTruckSprings.com knowingly and deliberately engaged in the interstate perpetration of fraud.

I spoke with SDTruckSprings.com customer service and advised them that the product I received was obviously a return and repackaged kit and they appear to have been previously installed on another truck.  After the expected denial, I told the customer service agent that I video taped opening the boxes.

The answer I received from SDTruckSprings.com customer service was, [paraphrased] ‘Did you video tape someone installing them on another truck?’  My reply was pointed.  In my opinion, that answer indicated a deliberate defensive posture and an admission that the company knowingly does this as a customary practice. He said he would transfer me to a supervisor, and the line disconnected.

The videos speak for themselves.

I spoke to Kimberly at SD Truck Springs about an air bag system for my 2500HD truck. I plan on hauling an 81/2' camper and wanted to make sure that an air bag system would improve my suspension performance. We spoke for about 15 min. and she was very through with information about answering my questions. I chose the Airlift 5000 Ultimate and 72000 wireless air compressor. I did not purchase this system at the time of speaking with her but a couple days later I did purchase the system from Mike who also was very helpful. They were very helpful and would recommend anyone to at least give them a chance to fulfill your needs. Thank You, Kimberly and Mike

Thank you for your prompt and professional customer service. I really appreciate being able to respond via e-mail, even days later, and receive personal service. I was not expecting such great assistance in helping me facilitate this issue.

the website states orders are shipped 24-48 hours so when it had been 5 days and my bags still haven't shipped I called and was informed that hellwig products take an additional 5 days. When I said something about why they said they would be shipped in 1-2 days he just said most products do. I needed them for a trip and had them order plenty of time ahead based off of my original Information. Looks like I'll be dragging the bumper all weekend

I wish I could give them a 0. They didn't ship all my parts to me. After notifying them they said they would expedite them. I would them I needed them by a certain day as my truck was apart. The parts never came so I had to pay for my truck to be put back together for no reason and still don't h. Pathetic.

Ordered a set of air bag for one of my repo trucks. "Junk Right out of the box" Both elbows leaking air. Now my trucks out of service and stuck on a rack in shop until they decide to send replacement elbows. i am to far into it in labor hours to reverse whats already been done so I am stuck. The bolts in the kit are all hardware store grade and had to be replaced with grade 8 suspension strength bolts as well. I am losing over 1000 dollars a day by this truck not being in service not to mention being forced to pay for shop space until the replacements arrive. BAD NEWS "Warning find somebody local where you are"
