Playing around with crystal ball photography - the water definitely messes with the optics of the transparent sphere, but Kyle still ended up with an interesting result!

Because of kelp's high growth rate, its efficient production of methane during its decay, and the potential for its sugars to be converted into ethanol, it has been proposed that large ocean-kelp farms could serve as a source of renewable energy. At least we wouldn't need to water it!

You might not expect it, but there is actually a lot of life out in the open ocean. We often see common dolphins that make a beeline for our boat because they love riding the bow and playing in our wake.

An underwater field of garibaldis! Their bright orange color really pops against the green eel grass, and you can even spot these bright orange fish on a clear day from the cliffs above.

We love getting away from the normal shore dives and heading out to the kelp beds! All of our boat dives are guided and include full gear rental, and we never take more than 4 divers at a time.

We just opened up trips on August 1 & August 8th
