It's amazing to see the difference that Scouts can make to someone life. This is a quote from a Birralee Scout who joined this year.

“I have learnt so much in Scouts in the last year, where do I start? My social life has improved so much and I feel happy at Scouts. I just feel it is a happy place. Scouts is a mix of fun and a little bit of work.”

One of of Scouts Dev from Mount Mugga Scout Group has selected a challenging topic for his year 6 'exhibition' project. It relates to ISIS/ISIL/IS threat (and terrorism in general) and the incorrect perception created by many that somehow Muslims are terrorists. His project required him to conduct research and present it at his school. The next step is for him to take 'direct action' to raise awareness that ISIL/IS (or other similar terrorist groups) are NOT representative of Muslims in general, particularly our fellow Australian Muslims.

He has chosen to combine his love of riding for the 'direct action' by planning a RIDE for UNITY on Sunday 30 Nov 2014. Dev would like to get your support in this cause by
1. Joining in on the ride - either the entire 50km ride or a smaller segment of the ride (typically from the location of your faith center to the next stop). Support vehicles are encouraged.
2. Spreading the message about the ride

If you would like to take part in the ride then please let contact the Ride For Unity team on RideForUnity@gmail.com
