OK, this Daylight Saving Time thing coming up this weekend is making a lot of people take notice. Look for some BIG media announcements and movement from state legislatures soon.

With #daylightsavingtime  coming this weekend, it's time to ask… WHY?!?!?!??

Also, what can you do to fix it? It turns out there's a great deal you can do.

My first time being published on +Inc Magazine . Lots of fun, and hope I don't piss off too many VCs.
There's only one source of financing that makes companies work--and it's not what you might think.

That moment when you realize that you don't need to see the play to learn the lessons.

One of the most dramatic days of my life, and I never stepped foot into a theater.
I could easily come up with a list of the top 10 days of my life. And… if I had to... I could also come up with the worst 10, too. But never — ever — have I had a...

I'm beginning to think that +DocuSign is nothing but a bunch of lying liars. I signed up with a promo code from a friend under the promise that he'd get a gift card. He never did. Lie #1.

I signed up for a year with the promise that I'd get two months free. Now the site tells me that I'll be downgraded to a free account after 12 months. Lie #2.

They change their interface so un-intuitively that I messed up two of my five documents for the month, so I get on a chat window that says agents are standing by to explain why I should get those two documents back. (Not a lie, but jeesh.)  I say essentially this in a chat window, and then the window told me to wait while an agent was contacted. After 10 minutes my whole documentation of what I said went away replaced by a message that said that no agents were available. That means that the message that an agent was standing by was… Lie #3.

Now on the upgrade page they don't have the plan that I was on before, only more expensive plans, but with those they say that I'll get two months free. Hah! I think I'll go back to PDFs unless they can fix this, and pronto. (If they do, I'll come back and report on what happens.)

A rare post that I actually wrote for the BlogMutt blog (as opposed to the BlogMutt writers.) It's about my favorite topic: Happiness.

Went in to get a seat belt unstuck. They said the only option was to replace the whole thing for $700. They also found another $3,000 worth of repairs, all of them questionable. I checked the 'net and fixed the seat belt with a screwdriver. They then charged us $120 to come up with all these bogus repairs, and charged us $12 for materials. That's right: they didn't do any work, and still charged us for materials. We've had questionable dealings with them in the past, we only went there this time because we thought they'd fix a clear safety issue and charge VW, not us, but now when we do go to a dealer we'll be going to the other side of town because these people are not to be trusted.

I had a bad case of the flu, and he did his homework to look up the latest from the health department about what medicine was actually working for my kind of flu. Treated me as an individual, and then followed up with a call later on. The best kind of local family doctor I could hope for.
