Great company, Notion, and a great chance to meet the CEO and founder.
The security aspects of this device are the first feature, but it can do much more, too.

Here's a great story about telling a story. Meta, I know, but really worth the read from the incomparable +Patrick Armitage .

Big news! A panel that I could be on is nominated for Denver Startup Week. Can you give it a quick thumbs-up? Thanks!

This picture is not me. You'll have to click to see me, which I know isn't much incentive, but it's the only way to learn about the three companies that we highlighted this week.

Our very own, Scott Yates, on 9NEWS Tech Tuesday promoting three Colorado-based companies we're proud of: MeetMindful OneReach and in-Kickstarter-funding-mode The Roost Stand. Check it.
Cheryl Preheim sat down with Scott Yates to talk about three categories of interesting Colorado tech companies: "Crushing It," "Colorado's Own," and "Early But Interesting."

Want something good to happen to you today? Well, if you go vote for this photo, you will get a huge amount of great karma from me. This is a photo contest for amateurs, and I shouldn't want to win, but I really do. I know I'm an amateur, but that makes it all the more fun. Thanks much, and I hope I can do something like this for you very soon.

Here's a post I wrote with Pat Armitage of +BlogMutt . I think it does a good job of showing how we can all just calm down a bit about algorithm changes, and realize that we do have great power. Also, there's a shout-out to the incomparable +Jay Rosen and to Ello.
Much like this all-powerful wizard operating behind locked doors, the algorithms of Google and Facebook control much of social media and traditional media, too, via search.

Great new company in the tiny town of Durango. Can they be the next Billion-dollar exit? Check out +gitprime.
GitPrime is small and also works in what seems like a very narrow niche.

So honored that +BlogMutt  was named the fastest growing company in Boulder. It was an honor, and also a shock, so the speech I gave was... well, at least it was quick. If I would have known, I might have given a speech more like this one:

Went in to get a seat belt unstuck. They said the only option was to replace the whole thing for $700. They also found another $3,000 worth of repairs, all of them questionable. I checked the 'net and fixed the seat belt with a screwdriver. They then charged us $120 to come up with all these bogus repairs, and charged us $12 for materials. That's right: they didn't do any work, and still charged us for materials. We've had questionable dealings with them in the past, we only went there this time because we thought they'd fix a clear safety issue and charge VW, not us, but now when we do go to a dealer we'll be going to the other side of town because these people are not to be trusted.

They really love dogs there, and our little buddy always runs to get there, and then comes home dog tired. They understand dogs, and love them!

I had a bad case of the flu, and he did his homework to look up the latest from the health department about what medicine was actually working for my kind of flu. Treated me as an individual, and then followed up with a call later on. The best kind of local family doctor I could hope for.
