I'm not looking forward to the clashes like this that the marriage equality plebiscite is going to create :(

+Colm Buckley aye, but no constitutional issues exist here, where they might have existed in Ireland.

After a month or so of using Android's Tap & Pay I've found only one place where it didn't work: the parking payment machines at Crown Casino. It clearly scanned but for some reason wouldn't complete the transaction (my physical Visa card tapped & paid just fine).

The only other 'issue' has been the occasional store that when you say you're going to pay via "card" they expect you hand over a card to them to do the tap/swipe/insert and select the account before holding it for you if it asks for a PIN. Mostly this is just the small stores that don't have space to make the card terminal easily accessible to customers. When I motion I'm paying with my phone they just hold the terminal out to me so it hasn't really caused much of an issue but has certainly triggered a few conversations :)

I'm using the NAB app which uses the old HCE method, not the new hotness Android Pay app (although I have heard some people have side loaded the Android Pay app and managed to enable their ANZ cards recently).

I normally run a mile when I see buzzfeed in the URL, but this is an awesome read. I might have to start giving them a few more chances.
You may not know him by name just yet, but he's one of the most powerful people alive. Google's new CEO Sundar Pichai wants to bring the internet to the rest of the world, all while winning back yo...

Wow. Just... wow. I get a lot of email intended for other people and for some reason a lot of it is tax or bill related. Here someone called Maria Callendar has entered the wrong email address (because our names are so very close!) to some weird debt consolidation company who has then sent Maria a secure password protected pdf, said password being her "secret" zipcode... however they handily also provided me with Maria's address (sans zipcode natch) that I can in 1 second on Google search for and find the zipcode of and then open said secure pdf. You can't make this shit up. Maria: You owe $459.79 to Sprint, in case you were wondering.

Dear Googlers, this is beyond the pale! I can only hope this is getting mentioned at TGIF and Googlers are as irate as I am over this stuff.

Yes; the Tesla adapter in the USA is different to anything which appears at the non-Supercharger stations. Adapters for the two most common plugs are included.

In Europe, Tesla did the sensible thing and adopted the Mennekes Type 2 plug; although in the Superchargers, the pins are reconfigured (it's an extensible standard).

Mine came with a Type 2 cable, for connecting to public chargers which don't have a tethered plug, and with a portable charger for connecting to regular 13A, 32A or 3-phase sockets.

Jordan's angry... understandably so. Between the ABCC and the Marriage Equality Plebiscite the Libs are going to waste close to $1B in tax dollars. Merry election season everyone!

Hey Google Folks: latest Android Wear is lacking an action setting for "Play Music" which used to allow me to choose which music app opens my "Play music by..." voice commands. Now when I issue a "Play music by..." voice command it opens Youtube on the phone(!). There doesn't seem to be a way to play music from my Play Music library from my watch anymore! :(

Wait, so Apple are back to making child sized phones again? I'm so confused.

Oh there's no hate, I have a child sized phone (z3c). I just find it super weird that Apple first were "hahaha no-one wants a larger phone!" then suddenly were only offering a large and a comically large version and dropped the small option, and now suddenly the small version comes back.
