Why no Google Assistant for the Pixel C? It's strange that it is available for any IOS device, but not Google's flagship tablet. I was hoping to see it added with the Android O preview, but it was not.

Why hasn't Google added Google Assistant to the Pixel C? It's odd that it is available for IOS devices but not Google's flagship tablet.

A big question for me is about the regional sports networks. Here in the Seattle area, we have Root Sports. So far, none of the streaming services carry it. If you want access to Seattle Mariners baseball games or local college sports, you have to look to cable or satellite. If YouTube TV adds Root Sports, I'm all in!

Request OnePlus 2 Invites here:  https://oneplus.net/invites?kolid=3YLOUE
+Carl Pei on the OnePlus 2 and NFC:

It (NFC) is going to gain widespread adoption in stores 12-18 months from now. By that time people will have moved on to the next device.

Remember, the OnePlus 2 is being billed as a 2016 flagship killer. However, Carl just said that come mid-2016, people will have already moved onto the next phone. That doesn't sound very flagship killer to me.

I'd like to see the numbers, but I'd be willing to bet those that buy new phones every year actually use NFC, Quick Charge 2.0, and wireless charging. They're into tech and gadgets. That seems like the main audience of OnePlus to me.

And speaking of mid 2016, that's when the next smartphone from OnePlus will be available, according to Carl.

+Phandroid  has a review unit coming, we'll see just how well the OP2 holds up then.
