B&H Photo Video has is listed at $5,499.00 as of this response. XAVC 4:2:2 10-bit, 1/2.3 sensor. Been a super camera so far, I'm pretty happy. Drive it into low light and you need to know what you're doing and know the camera to get a clean image.

Exxon Spills Oil into Prince William Sound
The Exxon Valdez Spills Oil into Prince William Sound 25 years ago today. I'll never forget the terrible news that broke on March 24th 1989 - devastating! Even today as I listen to our local news report, it really doesn't sound much different than any other oil spill we experience year after year on land or sea.

Talkeena Mountains, Alaska

Working in film and photography has taken me to some places. It is locations like this, I take a deep breath and realize where I am standing on the planet. Thankful for the job I have and the skills I’m blessed to have.

Return of the Arctic Tern
The Arctic Tern of Alaska experiences an annual roundtrip of about 24,000 miles traveling between the Arctic and Antarctic nesting regions and seeing two summers each year. Terns arrive at their breeding areas in early to late May here in Alaska, and I can’t wait!

I LOVE working in these conditions!
Here, 60 mph steady winds rip across a frozen landscape in Unalakleet, Alaska. The trail marker in front of this plane helps Iditarod teams find their way into the village checkpoint.

Mount Foraker
Tucked in the Alaska Range is the mighty 17,400 Mount Foraker, which sits next to the 20,237 foot Denali. (aka Mount McKinley). I never get tired of looking at our mountains, all my life they've always brought me peace of mind!

Thanks +Tim Newton!
+Markus Niederost this was taken at sunset. The aarly morning light offers a nice earth shadow behind them as warm light kisses the face this time of year. I was watching the light all day, and knew we had a shot at something grand at sunset.. But is there really any bad light?

Happy St.Patrick's Day, from Alaska!

I’ve seen my share of sea otters, after all ninety percent of the world’s sea otters live in coastal Alaska. What we didn’t know, as seen in this rare photo... They’re all Irish!
