Traversing Alaska's Matanuska Glacier!
Heading out for about 6/hours of Ice Climbing on Matanuska Glacier as well do some exploring of some new very large crevasse. I've always loved filming and photographing glaciers! More photos later..

We should go sometime, the Mat Glacier is a super learning ground around the toe. Or try a guiding outfit.. because it really is like a candy land when it comes to photography, both large scale and macro. Message me if you're ever curious my friend.

The Retreat of Exit Glacier, Alaska :: 2008-2014
I am truly shocked by Exit Glacier retreat. In 2008, Exit glacier was a little over eye level and up to the edge of where I'm standing when I took this photo. It also filled the gorge down to the left. In 1995 it was not possible to stand where I am to take this photo without being on the ice. Devastating.

Summer in Alaska
If there was a shot I've ever taken that encapsulated summer in Alaska, this would be the one I'd choose. Wishing you an Alaska adventure of your own! #Alaska #Locations #Film #Photography

Mount Susitna, Alaska
Located 33 miles northwest of Anchorage, the midnight sun casts its light over Mount Susitna. The mountain's Dena'ina name is Dghelishla, meaning "Little Mountain".  Summer in Alaska, there is no better place to film and photograph landscapes, longer days means more great images!

Was great to be joined by +Carl Johnson , who lives just down the hill from where this image was taken.

Denali National Park - First Snow
Thinking about friends heading into Denali National Park for a week, it's going to be GREAT!  Reflecting on my time in the park last year, and realizing I never really shared any of my images... better late than never!

Alaska Grizzly Bear
Packing on the weight for coming winter is a lot of work, so it's nap time for this Grizzly!  Sure they can be ferocious creatures, but it's moments like this when they look so approachable. :D

I didn't need to hear that +Scott Slone :-)
I saw plenty out at Cold Bay and Sand Point a number of years back but it would have been nice for my wife to have experienced these magnificent birds up close…… next time.

Check out this float plane backdropped by a typical Alaska summer sunset. How fortunate I am to be raised an Alaskan by Alaskans!

It was a blast +Carl Johnson, launch the app and go fly! Scouting locations via Google Earth and I started to see things differently.. Rather than just the locations at ground level. I think I have found a new love.. high-altitude photography. I went on a screen grab adventure last night.

I'm a repeat customer with King of the River, and I'm one that has never come home empty handed! Last year they added free accommodations for full-day fishing trips, which was a huge benefit. I was able to leave the night before from Anchorage, enjoy very comfortable accommodations, and wakeup fully rested to land some salmon! Highly recommended and will be back again in July 2015!
