I thought they were "killing off" G+? I mean I am happy and glad they didn't and proud to continue to use/be here..I'm just wondering why they are continuing to improve something they said they were done with?

Did Google ever say it's done with G+? I only saw non-Googlians making such declarations.

The original article was dedicated, with thanks, to Gus3. Without his suggestion it never would have been written. Like the original article, I stress the following update text involves Linux only obliquely......but I hope all my friends here on LXer will find it interesting, and perhaps, useful.

I have lowered my expectations and as a consequence my happiness is increasing. :)

"There’s a saying that goes, 'Without the mud, there can be no lotus.' What this means is that without our suffering, without the difficulties and challenges we’re faced with, we literally wouldn’t have the capability to experience peace and joy. Our pain and suffering is the very soil within which the flower of our true potential can grow." ~Matt Valentine
Accept these challenges as opportunities for growth and you’ll realize the true peace, joy, and freedom that exists beyond the concept of "good" and "bad."

The dining room may not look like much but I swear its some of the best Chinese food you will get on the west side. Great lunch specials that come with egg roll. I always order take-out or delivery. The cool thing is that $20 will cover two entrees and the tip to deliver it. Always friendly and actual real spicy Chinese food.

I love it! Its hidden, it looks like its always dead from the outside but its not. GREAT FOOD! For the money compared to what you get wow! The bartenders are cool for the most part and there are no uppity people around so you can actually talk to someone..crazy I know but true.
