I backed this a little while back, and they're trying to reach their stretch goal. It uses +Blockly (as I understand) to teach coding within the game.
Thank you all for supporting CodeSpells so far! We reached our $50,000 goal with 24 days to go! We couldn’t have done it without you! The next big goal we’d really like to get to is the $100,000 stretch goal to make CodeSpells an online multiplayer experience! We can do it!In the last few days, we came up with a cool idea to sweeten the deal for the higher tiers! Several tiers are now going to come with programmable staffs for your wizard! We hop...

I've made my twitter account private since this change... I don't need random weirdos following me. Just random weirdos that I like.
Twitter has quietly changed the way blocking works in a move that means once-blocked trolls can once again interact with their old targets — but all of their interactions will remain hidden from...

If you’re reading this, you should thank GRACE HOPPER
She is one of the most under appreciated computer scientists in history. She wasn’t just an admirable US Navy Officer, but also a computer scientist, who worked on computers BACK WHEN THEY TOOK UP ENTIRE ROOMS! She is a PIONEER, who invented the first compiler, or program that translates a computer language like Java or C++ into machine code, called assembly, that can then be read by a processor. Every single program you use, every OS and server, was made possible by her first compiler.

"Why would I spend days uploading files to HDFS, writing map reduce jobs for 1 GB of data? When I can spend 5 minutes writing an SQL query and wait 30 seconds for the query to execute."

P.S. Obviously, there are high-TB- or PB-sized datasets where Hadoop, HPCC or similar are called for, but there are plenty of examples to the contrary...
“So, how much experience do you have with Big Data and Hadoop?” they asked me. I told them that I use Hadoop all the time, but rarely for jobs larger than a few TB. I'm basically a big data neophite - I know the concepts, I've written code, but never at scale. The next question they asked me.
