First Week of deSTEMber!!

As some of you may know, but many may not, the folks at +Google Science Fair have teamed up with +Girlstart ( to celebrate the month of #deSTEMber  with fantastic Hangouts on Air from the #STEM  fields with a focus of getting people actively interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

This month-long event will be focusing on people of all ages and backgrounds, since the STEM fields effect each and every one of us! Already there are plans for +CERN,, +National Geographic, +Scientific American, and others to host HOA's covering a variety of interesting materials including at-home science experiments, panel interviews, behind-the-scenes in the lab, etc.

Not to mention, yours truly is organizing an event for the third week of #deSTEMber  through the +CosmoQuest page, bringing the awesome science of space and astronomy to the world! Stay tuned for more details about that later!

If you haven't had a chance, go visit the +Girlstart G+ page and their website, and please consider supporting this amazing organization which focuses on getting girls in grades k-12 involved in all things STEM. ( If you cannot support them financially, please consider volunteering your time, either with them in Austin, TX or a local school of your own. Our kids need phenomenal role models to open their eyes to the fascinating world of science and mathematics

Thank you all for being so absolutely amazing. I hope to see all of you around on Google+ this next month as we celebrate #deSTEMber
