They have DELL Boomi as the "small" cloud company of the year? Ok.. glad we're using it! +Jens Sorensen-QAD  But, didn't realize Dell was a small business.
I also notice Epicor was in there as a finalist.. so keep on pushing QAD!

If you look into it with an open heart, God in all forms, like the Catholic Trinity has always been progressive. Mankind's use of spiritual ideas to his own ends gets Catholics and others off the vision.

Seriously. Let that sink in.

I think the depth of the iceberg is the same, it's just your role in iceberg management is less taxing in a cloud computing scenario.  The ongoing costs on the left are in the hands of the cloud provider which for me emphasizes the importance of doing business with quality companies and building great partnerships.  Any iceberg can sink a ship so let's make sure our partners have the depth to support our business, and we in turn can do the same for our cloud customers.

The first #selfdrivingcar I see on the wild.
It seemed to be going really slow, and the car behind was totally geeking out on them. The two passengers were relaxedly chatting. I resisted the urge to follow it at this time, but according to one of the Google drivers there's only 2 of these in Mountain View right now, so it was a lucky spoting.

On the occasion of my QAD Anniversary this month, I want to say thanks to +Pam Lopker  & +Karl Lopker  for building a great company that has been my home for 15 years! The challenges from +Leif Petersen , the flexibility from HR, and the collegiality for all are top-notch . . . and the anniversary gift is pretty cool too! :-)

I agree with those statements Scott. Congratulations on 15 years! On the gift... it was a tossup but I got the Cuisinart stainless steel pan set. :)

Question: How come the number of "Externally visible files" that I can see in the Google Admin console is different than the number of the same kind of files I can see in GAT? The same is true of "Private" files. For example in GAT, at the top level with no filters I show "7,455,617 Private" files in the Drive section of GAT but in Google It shows 5.5 M (rounded I know), but this is a diff of  ~2 million files! Thought on this?

Ah, the date explanation would explain in our case, since we have been with Google Apps for 5 years. If they are counting only from 2014, that would represent a subset. The folders idea seems plausible, too. Thanks!

Reporting  -

Questions about this GAT email report, if anyone knows.

This is an email report from a user's account showing messages with attachments. there is a number next to each message (circled below). What does that indicate? I think it shows REPLIES because when you click it it gives a list of messages. AND I assume that if there is an attachment, the same file is taking up space multiple times over, correct?

Also, I assume that the lines where the arrows point "in 2 accounts", "in 8 accounts", and so on means that this same attachment is found in accounts other than this user, correct?

+Scott Lawson Yes, it is true. For files attached on emails, copies are stored in each account, each copy taking up quota. There is no concept of a 'shared' email, like there is with a file. (You can of course have shared links in an email, but these are not reflected as attached files.) Their state is reported in the Drive Audit for shared files.

End warrantless access to your digital content in California!
If you live in California, law enforcement doesn't need a warrant to access emails older than 180 days. In some cases, they can even get your location information off your smartphone. CalECPA would give our personal content the protection we deserve. It would protect your mobile device and everything you save on it—passwords, photos, GPS data, contacts, text messages, emails, and more.

Super great food that has an upscale taste but the restaurant is down home. Busy on the weekend with a line out the door by the time we left at 9:30 AM. You go up to order and then they bring you food to you.

I actually like LAX. It is an airport after all so it is not "enjoyable" but the flights are less than going out of ONT and it is simple to navigate around.

They make perfectly natural soaps and candles that are a joy to use. Go check them out! This is the actual place that they make this soap but there's a small retail store in front.
