A few thoughts on the current political situation in Ireland
On my way home from work, I come to a T-junction not far from my house; one part is the main road, while the other is a long laneway that leads to a secluded residential area. Two cars meet; the wo...

My latest article for +TinderPoint; eBay had quietly dumped Google AdWords for Bing Ads for their mobile site, but is it a case of payback for an earlier penalty from Google?

This has to be the best magazine whether online or published for Gay men and women and is 100 per cent Heterosexual friendly,. At last something to read that's interesting , keeps you interested and does not bring sex into everything. It shows the gay world as it really is and invites the straight world to not feel threatened and join in. Keep up this excellent work Scott, Paul

My latest piece for +The Huffington Post; why do the Irish need to wait for almost 18 months before they vote on #equalmarriage

#LGBT   #Ireland   #Europe
Civil rights groups welcomed the Irish government's decision to call for a referendum on equal marriage for 2015. In another positive move, Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Enda Kenny finally came out -- so to speak -- in favor of gay marriage, ending his years of ambiguity on the issue.

The wait may be worth it if they introduce same sex adoption and parental rights first. But I am worried about the underlying mental health effects on the gay community that a vote like this can cause. Dragging it out can only make it worse. Listening to bigots ranting will have its effect on vulnerable people.

Story

Radio Broadcaster & Producer; Journalist/Reviewer/Blogger, Digital PR and Online Media Professional
Introduction
Not one to focus only on one field, I’m a multimedia professional, with over 10 years experience in broadcast, print and online media production. During the day, I’m Digital Communications Manager with TinderPoint, a creative digital marketing agency based in Dublin. I initially joined their team in October 2014 as Content & Social Media Intern, and am now in charge of TinderPoint’s Digital PR wing.

Radio broadcasting is my first love, and I have been in a radio studio every week of my life since the age of 15. I have worked for several broadcasters in Ireland & the UK, including RTÉ Radio, Spin1038, NewsTalk106-108fm, and BBC Northern Ireland. I love talk radio, and am interested in the development of DAB throughout Ireland and the UK.

I’ve a MA in Writing & Communications, specialising in journalism. I’ve worked as a freelance journalist, columnist and blogger for Irish, British, Danish and American online & print media, including the Huffington Post, the Irish Independent (via the Belfast Telegraph), and MIX Copenhagen.

Last but not least, I love online & social media. In 2013, I founded and launched EILE Magazine, an online-only publication for the LGBT community in Ireland. I’ve also created and redesigned Wordpress-based websites and established social media for a number of clients in Ireland, the UK and Denmark, from SMEs to community groups and politicians.

A well-known place to go for Dubliners, the quality of food is reasonable, but don't expect a 5-star treatment. What you see is what you get.
