I've been futzing around lately and decided that I should say something about a tangential matter in comics, but it really wasn't typical of the "weird stuff in my collection" vibe of my blog, but it was too long for a G+ post, so I decided to categorize it as an 'administration' notice on the blog and just link to it here in the community. Nothing here is particularly rare or out of the way, but it still counts as #fogeybait

This was sitting on the back burner for two months while I worked on updating my "have/want" lists and organizing some music. Oh, and reading comics. I don't know if people will find it worth the wait, but if anybody out there is dying to get a little insight into the kind of nit-picky crap that keeps crazy collectors awake at night, then have I got a bridge for YOU!

Good news for anyone who missed the twelve free comic strips for International Women's Day that Google linked from its doodle a couple days ago. Google has long maintained an archive for its variant logo art and the comic strip menu still works. You can find it at:

If there are any Community members who read the G+ posts without first going to the Google search/home page, go there today as soon as possible. The 'doodle' logo today has been replaced with an illustration commemorating International Women's Day. If you use Windows Explorer as a browser, clicking on the image will bring you to pages of links about the topic. However, if you use Chrome as a browser, clicking on the image gives a menu of twelve free comic strips by female artists from around the world. In the US, captions are in English but some strips are non-verbal anyway. If you want to check them out, better hurry.

If you've been following DC's "Milk Wars" specials, here's a little minor news from the sidelines:

A couple of days ago I posted a link here to a blog I do and today I got what appears to be a spam comment. That's not so unusual, but I'm not sure what to make of the commentor. Am I simply being spammed, or also being trolled? Let me know if you have an opinion on this.
It's a new month and time to get back to cataloging all of this stuff. I didn't get much done as Sir Hilary (nor did I expect to-- winter is made for catching up on TV and there's way too much comic-based programming for one human to follow everything). Time to switch costumes to Sir Stanley and grab a machete, although I don't know if hacking my way through stacks of comics and related ephemera will be any easier than climbing a mountain of them in a blizzard.

Let's start with a short piece, shall we?
