Even when they bring the Start menu back, let's face it, there will be something wrong with it. I like Stardock's Start8 better than the old Start menu anyway. It is baffling that Microsoft has been so clueless about this. I understand they're trying to take advantage of the touch environment, but it has to work for users before it works for Microsoft.
The upcoming Windows 8.1 update will have a slew of nice-to-have updates that make the operating system better to use with mouse and keyboard. But it will be missing a new Start Menu that Microsoft is promising will some day appear. Why wait, Microsoft? I want it now!

+Edward Holland yes, thats a nice way too. Windows, as opposed to other operating systems, allows you to work as you are more comfortable without having to include third-party programs.

Which security suite should you get for Windows, OS X, Android and iOS? These suites work on multiple platforms and give license for use on at least 5 of your devices.

Target paid the price for its apparent failure; other big firms follow the same pattern and could face the same fate.
