Introduction

Science Bits is a collection of multimedia science lessons for secondary school that promotes the use of a constructivist methodology based on skills development and active learning through inquiry, discovery, and critical thinking. Science Bits lessons are organized around the 5E Instructional Model and use a wide range of high quality multimedia interactive resources. Also, Science Bits uses an efficient system for assessment and monitoring of students’ progress. This unique project has won many of the world’s most important awards in technology and education.
