Yes I am hooked, on art, all sorts of art.  My first love is drawing in graphite, colored pencil or pastels. However, this summer I stretched to try acrylic and even oil painting. In a previous blog, I posted my first attempt with acrylics in value.

Finished the second class of the summer. This time it was an oil painting class in color. I decided to stay with the same subject, a wolf, while I experimented with the medium and use of color.

Here is my first oil painting, Playing in the Snow. Wolves inhabit the Americas from the Arctic circle to woodlands, forests, grasslands and deserts. They are at home in all weather conditions including kicking up a little snow!

Wolves are critical to a balanced eco system. That is a story for another post! Perhaps another oil painting?
