@outsidemagazine saved the best for last in this article. It's no surprise that the Channel Islands made the cut for must-do national parks. And the great thing about them? You can explore the best spots in less than 24 hours. http://buff.ly/1KKaOYr
Cramming a National Park visit into just one day can involve a stressful amount of guess-based planning and/or a simple dose of luck-infused spontaneity. But you can take charge with confidence if you read though this list of carefully curated day plans for ten beloved National Parks.

To imagine this scene covered in black oil is almost impossible. Read up on yesterday's devastating spill at http://buff.ly/1dlFGo1. The article quotes our general manager, who describes Refugio State Beach as, "our workplace, and our playground and our passion.”

We hope you were able to get some sunbathing in on this gorgeous day! The sea lions had no problem with it.

One reason we take people to the Channel Islands is to teach them about the rich Native American history these magnificent places hold. Archaeologists and researchers are working hard to both discover and preserve this rich history.

As part of our 8th grade graduation cruise, I booked our group, of 4 adults and 6 teenage boys, a kayaking adventure with Santa Barbara Adventure Company. We got off the ship and walked over to Sea Landing where Matt and Ryan were waiting for us. It was our first time kayaking and it was perfect. Matt and Ryan were phenominal and gave all of us instruction and local history. We saw plenty of wildlife and they even made us a gourmet lunch. We can't wait to book another kayaking excursion - next time to Santa Cruz island. Thanks, Matt and Ryan for a great time!

We went to scorpion ancourage kayaking tour last week. Great staff/guides. They were helping people out who were getting sea sick on the ferry. The kayak guides (Adam and Brooke) were very professional and helpful throughout the tour. We had several cases of kayak overturning but they helped everyone out. Would definitely love to go once more!!

Both the logistics and the substance of our paddle-board lesson were outstanding: just nice, knowledgeable, accessible, responsible people sharing their love of the outdoors with some very appreciative newbies. Highly recommended on all counts.

Adam and Hector KILLED IT! Best day ever, very knowledgeable, interacted with all of us, I mean he knew our entire party's names in the first few minutes. Had the option to not participate in anything you felt was beyond your comfort level. I mean just an awesome experience. Book these guys now!

We had a great Kayak tour of Santa Barbara Harbor and nearby beaches last week. Excellent instruction for beginners (kids 10 and 13), nice pace throughout, lots of wildlife and nature info, delicious (filling) lunch, and fun kayak wave surfing at the end! Would highly recommend for any age group.

My wife and I spent new years day Kayaking through Sea Caves at the Channel Islands. From start to finish Santa Barbra Adventures provided excellent service, a great guide, and a wonderful experience. We saw grey whales on the boat ride out to the island and had a magical time explore the caves of the Santa Cruz Island. I highly recommend the Channel Islands Sea Cave Trip with Santa Barbra Adventure Company!
