As a person who manages channels for other brands, this is a nightmare! We already have a google+ profile for each brand, created before business pages were available (and no, there's no tool to convert to a business page like Facebook had. That would be too helpful.). But there's no way to link that to the channel, since they have different user names. YouTube keeps asking me to create ANOTHER google+ profile just to manage comments.

If Facebook keeps adjusting their algorithm to punish brands, Google+ will get even closer.

I've never seen the point of them except for multi-platform campaigns. Now, Inside Facebook says they actually result in LESS engagement. Main problem: they're for discovering talk about a topic across a large network. FB users are accustomed to having info delivered to them, not searching for it.
