It's the time people in India head for their annual vacations! A few simple tips from my experience -

1. Don't approach any travel operator. This is a big NO. You'd be herded around and won't have time or energy to explore places on your own. Also, it ain't cheap! Tourism industry and tour operators in particular are a gang (mafiosi style).

2. Book your own flights. They might be a little more expensive than what a tour operator would get, but trust me - Get better flights for yourself.

3. Book your own lodging. Ping me if you need some coupon codes and options in any place in the world. I can  help you, and you'd help me in turn.

4. Any place you wanna visit - Book  your own tickets. They maybe expensive than what the tour operator might get it for, but then you don't benefit - They do! It's a big story, it's nothing but horse-trading!

5. Use Uber to move about. Check for its availability before the travel though. This is a big money-saver. This way you'd have more flexibility than a tour-operator would provide!

6. Google all places and routes before 1.

7. Plan a couple of days more than you actually read on Google. Lodging is cheap compared to what hotels charge, and you'd eventually save big time.

Net net - Tour Operator (Flight+Hotel+Food+Commute+Tickets to Attractions) is prohibitively expensive than ON YOUR OWN (Flight+Lodging+Google+Uber+Google).

One key thing is to have a SmartPhone, Local 3G SIM, Backup SmartPhone, and a Battery Pack.

This is going to be the last run for these shirts as well.
After the initial run ended I received numerous requests from people that still wanted it. This is a 5 day grab it while you can last chance offer for those that weren't able to get it the first run. ***This is a LIMITED RUN which means these shirts will only be available for the next 5 days. After that they are gone for good. So order yours before the time runs out!!***

I'm sure most of those here recollect the days we used to get really excited to get our hands on the Telephone Directory and Yellow Pages handed out for free each year :)

The Chromecast is great! Wouldn't it be even greater if it could actually run Chrome, instead of being a point for streaming video and music? ASUS seems to... by Michael Crider in ASUS, News

Quite a few  have questions about India. Particularly travelers on Trippy about the culture and people here.
There's just one phrase that can hold the essence of India - "Swept under the rug". If you understand the meaning to this, you'd know the people, the culture, personal lives, public lives, organizations, homes... you name it.
This is a country that has and does everything under the sun and the moon (..or when they can't see either), but has one attitude that sets it aback ages. The very reason organizations and individuals fail big time!

It's such mess recovering a #gmail password - it's impossible!
I'd set up 2 Factor authentication thinking that'd help secure my account and with password recovery, but boy was I wrong!
My ISP provider uses PPPoE and keeps refreshing the IP each time I power up the modem, and hence had to sign up each time.
Just got back from a great vacation and early morning forgot my password and ended up resetting the same. That's now reached an old test account I have no clue existed!
Calling up the local support directs me to the online automated option. I provided all info I could remember, yet the IP mismatch isn't helping
Isn't there an option to recover through my mobile that's associated with the account #Google?

PS - I CAN ACCESS MY ACCOUNT OVER THE PHONE FROM WHERE I'M POSTING THIS... +Google+Android+Google Developers+Google India

UPDATE -
I couldn't get this resolved with Google Customer Support, but thankfully I recollected my recovery email address' password :) Hurrah.
Those who've not done this already (just incase you forget your password) - get your BACKUP CODES from Google for instances like these, and also download the #GoogleAuthenticator  app for 2FA.
