Couldn't agree more. Not that I would be considered a successful person by many, I think it's undeniable that there are always tons of factors that help anyone become "successful" that are outside of ourselves.

Would be nice if it were just legalized for a few years, properly regulated and then see what happens. There's no doubt the situation would improve. It certainly wouldn't get worse.

A good article on the difference between the American capitalist/democracy system and the socialist nordic models. The authors veers off topic a bit by the end, but it's still worth a read.

Impressive. Not my favorite country by far, but this part about it made me appreciate it in ways I can't for most other countries I've traveled so far.
