Location! Location! Location! We do have the best location indeed, in the heart of South Kenstington, close to art, culture and shopping!
Always great when we read reviews on TripAdvisor.

"Perfect location as it's near South Kensington tube station and walking distance to shopping (Harrods is one) and restaurants.
This is our 2nd visit and we've always enjoyed their breakfast. They have recently added their SPA facilities which I think another thing to try on our 3rd visit!
Will definitely stay here again!"

Shall we tempt you with The Rembrandt Dream?
Amaretto, Kahlúa and coffee, topped with cream.
Is there a better way to beat the London tube strike?

Welcome to The Rembrandt, a historic London hotel with a modern vibe in the heart of South Kensington.
A favourite of independent business and leisure travellers from all over the world, at The Rembrandt we get the details right: free WiFi everywhere, free full English breakfast, a lounge bar with a skylight leaving amble daylight in, a modern European restaurant, and a fitness and beauty club to relax from a day of meetings or even better shopping.
Our rooms, individual in style and with all the modern comforts of a 4-star London hotel, are ideal for a rest after a long day. Some have views of the famous V&A museum!

I am writing this review here as it has been previously removed from tripadvisor. On a recent stay my family had money taken from our room at this hotel. My wife has a fairly complicated purse with a number of pockets and we had split our money between these. We had money taken from two different pockets (one of which was hidden on the inside of the purse) while we were at breakfast however this hotel has tried to suggest that on a 30 minute (at most) journey from the hotel someone had opened my wife's bag, which was pressed against her body, taken out her purse, looked through it and taken only a few notes from each putting the rest back then returning her purse is laughable. A cleaner was seen entering our room on two separate occasions during our breakfast and did no cleaning on either occasion. They didn't move or clean anything in fact. When asked about this in front of me, the duty manager even said it was 'unusual' and he didn't know why they had returned or entered the room on the first occasion. The hotel is maintaining however that the cleaner has an 'exemplary record' which is surely tarnished now? It does not take much searching on the internet to find reviews from as far back as five years stating 'my mom & i visited this hotel in sept. 2008 we noticed our luggage was rifled/gone-thru on a daily basis when we were out & about & the management did not seem upset/enraged when we informed them of this,& this distressed us immensly'. This has been cut and pasted so please excuse the spelling but this shows that previous behaviour of this nature has been reported. We are out of pocket due to our stay at this hotel and the majority of the money taken was given to me for my birthday the day before as a donation to a charity very close to our hearts so they have also lost out. I hope people will find my review helpful when checking their belongings before departure as it is likely when it occurs, small amounts will be taken from departing guests in the hope they won't notice or will be gone before they are able to complain and getting support from the hotel will be non existent!

Booked a spa day here for a special friends birthday. Quite possibly the worst spa experience ever imagined - it is actually criminal to call it a "spa"! The "relaxation area" was a balcony overlooking a tiny pool with around 100 screaming kids - the noise was so loud you had to shout to one another. In this "relaxation area" there was only 2 lounge beds cramped against walls and then a couple chairs floating around so everyone had to stand. The changing rooms had the saunas in so don't be thinking you can share with a member of the opposite sex - obviously this is great if you come as a couple! Also there were kids clothes drying on the seats in the sauna room so you couldn't use them anyway. Overall a very poor "gym spa experience" and was clearly an afterthought of the hotel - just a way they could make a few extra dollars rather than designing something that actually is a good product and gives what a spa should - relaxation!

Great location. Staff are quite friendly and helpful. Housekeeking services are however not impressive. Wake up call program on the phone failed to work and the room was quite sparsely furnished. I had expected more from this hotel. Overall rating is 3.5 out of 5

Speaking of elegance? Well this is the right hotel for you! I stayed here for three nights and I really felt that I belong to the top executives of some companies. The place, the services and everything are absolutely awesome!

This is the perfect hotel for visiting London! Close to the South Kensington Tube and in a lovely area. Harrods is a few blocks away. This is a very nice clean area with tons of places to eat within walking distance. Two we tried were Bunch of Grapes pub and Daquise Restaurant in the square around the South Kensington tube main entrance. Daquise's is a Polish restaurant and has the best food I have ever eaten! The pork medallions with mustard sauce is to die for! Everything is cooked to order and the chef brings the cooking pots to the table and serves you personally. The square area around the South Kensington Tube station also has a good Crepe restaurant, a Vegetarian restaurant and several other places to eat. Our room #566 at the Rembrandt was very large for a London hotel with a large new beautiful bathroom in marble with a bidet and full Jacuzzi tub. Our room came with a full English breakfast buffet that was nice to have. We will stay here every time we come to London!

Great location in heart of Kensington across from Victoria and Albert Museum. I reserved a small room, but lots of windows, newly re-done, free internet (6Mbps), nice hot shower, European TV programs and English breakfasts. All in all, it suited exactly what I needed.
