Great tip! I'm curious too about how you liked the paint/primer over the fresh drywall without using a drywall primer-sealer first. I used the same Olympic paint in my dining room and chose to still use a separate primer since the paint/primer combo paints are usually only meant for previously coated walls (color change, that sort of thing). I would expect that I'd see some flashing if I skipped it (I tried it w/ a different paint/primer brand and it was awful, so I didn't feel like gambling w/ that again!). To my knowledge, there's only one brand that actually says it's been tested & endorsed for fresh walls with skim coat, so I'm trying that brand in my kitchen next! Let me know how it works out on your walls.
