I've been developing for a few years now and nth-child vs. nth-of-type trips me up to this day. This is a good breakdown of the two pseudo selectors - what sets them apart and when to use them.

The key to avoiding writing legacy code to creating testable code. With CSS, this involves constant refactoring, committing to a naming convention (BEM, ITCSS, SMACSS, etc.), linting your work, and doing regular code reviews.

Senator Pat Roberts has dumb thoughts on chicken agriculture.

As a developer, or "coder", I found this article on women in tech to be incredibly insightful.

Of all the articles I've read on diversity in IT (and I've read a lot), this is the first that approaches it from a historical perspective, touching on the first software developers (who were mostly white women) and how the industry shifted its demographics over the decades. While the focus is mostly on gender, it manages to paint a broad picture on why the industry became predominantly white and male and concludes with ways we can fight self-selection.

It feels like this JS-free movement is gaining a lot of ground. It might be reactionary to the glut of JS frameworks out there today, but I love the fact that problems are being solved with a variety of solutions.
