The visions with messages for our time, took place from April 15 to October 13 in 1980. Bernardo Martinez was a humble, middle-aged Nicaraguan rancher who died in 2000 as Fr. Bernardo Marinez, having been ordained a priest in 1995 at the age of 64.

Well, I forgot all about this piece I wrote for +Catholic Exchange until just now. So here ya go...a dose of Our Lady of Lourdes, a special Mary of mine, for the tail end of her feast day.
Mary to the Poor and Simple At Lourdes, France, Mary appeared to a fourteen-year-old who wasn’t very bright and wasn’t very big. Marie Bernadette Soubirous, called by the diminutive of her name because she was so tiny, was the oldest of six, born to a poor miller.  She was weak and sickly as a child, …

To this, I can only laugh uproariously (because I'm included) and feel a bit like dancing through the house yelling BOOOOOOYAAAAAH is NOT a bad way to spend the rest of the day. #mademyday   #CatholicsrockinTwitter  #noideaHOW*I*madethelist
This morning, FOCUS put out their list of 24 Catholic to follow on Twitter.  In all honesty, it was a pretty solid list.  But, since they asked for people to share anyone who may have been left off, here comes The Catholic Hi...

Introduction
If I’m not off hiding somewhere with a good book, chances are I’m chasing a kid or a dog or sleeping, because every mom can use a nap!

I married Prince Charming, and now we enjoy the idiosyncrasies of life. Oh yeah, and we root for the Buckeyes. Every time.

I am, first and foremost, a Catholic. And then I'm a wife and mom and more.

You can read more about me at my author website or at my blog, Snoring Scholar.

"Be patient with everyone, but above all with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them--every day begin the task anew."
