There is no accident that I'm reading this and finding myself longing for exactly what it seems a pilgrimage offers. Wisdom from +Dan Burke +Daniel Burke on how pilgrimages answer the soul's need for peace, quiet, and strength (along with some information about a pilgrimage he's leading with +Teresa Tomeo next year).
A holy pilgrimage is one of the most powerful ways we can break out of the noise and renew our ability to hear God’s voice.

I'd say it's middle grade...probably higher level 3rd grade readers to junior high. I loved it as an adult: it wasn't too babyish for older (i.e., jr high age) kids.

"Through the Rosary, I now see Mary as a welcoming gateway to Christ. And the Rosary is the key to unlock the gate. In the Scriptures and in our lives, Mary always leads people to her Son. It’s her mission and pleasure."

+Brandon Vogt shares more about his devotion to Mary and the Rosary as part of a Word by Word contributor highlight series I'm doing at +CatholicMom.com.
Sarah Reinhard interviews Word by Word contributor Brandon Vogt, who shares perspective on slowing down with prayer and the word "LORD."

My review of +Jeff Young +The Catholic Foodie 's new book, which is an excellent cookbook for even the non-foodies among us.
Years ago, I heard a reference to a podcast that sounded like it would be interesting, if irrelevant to me. The friend recommending it, h...

Story
Tagline
Catholic wife, mother, author, speaker, reader, farm girl, horse lover, geek-wannabe
Introduction
If I’m not off hiding somewhere with a good book, chances are I’m chasing a kid or a dog or sleeping, because every mom can use a nap!

I married Prince Charming, and now we enjoy the idiosyncrasies of life. Oh yeah, and we root for the Buckeyes. Every time.

I am, first and foremost, a Catholic. And then I'm a wife and mom and more.

You can read more about me at my author website or at my blog, Snoring Scholar.

"Be patient with everyone, but above all with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them--every day begin the task anew."
