This doesn't surprise me. I don't think I've purchased anything on Blu-ray for at least a year or two, maybe more. It seems inevitable that any physical media format will become outdated (VHS, DVD, etc) and I don't want to own an outdated physical media collection.

Streaming/digital solves the problem. With streaming services, it doesn't matter because you don't own individual pieces of media; as technology gets better, the media supplied by the streaming services will get better, too. And with digital, the quality might look awful in a few years, but at least I'm confident I'll be able to view that media across devices, without special hardware.

How do you prefer to purchase media?
