Was a sad day today.
Two years ago Craig and I brought home a lovely little cat (pictured) and named her Ada. Early life wasn't easy for Ada, she was an abandoned cat on death row at a local animal shelter. However on the day we meet her it felt like she adopted us since despite all the humans present she decided we were the people to hang out with.
Everyday since was made brighter by her presence with lots of affection and laughter and while I might have brought Ada home, it was Craig that become her number one person in the whole world.
This evening we took Ada to SASH for further testing as she had become increasingly ill. The results definitively showed Ada was suffering from a form of terminal cancer which is the end result of a contagious virus (feline only) she's likely carried since birth. Given her health and with this information we sadly decided to say goodbye to Ada tonight.
