Summer time is coming to a close ....Where does time go? Very soon fall, and "ole man winter" will be upon us. I am grateful for the 4 seasons but favor moderate warm temperatures best. Fall in #NC is utterly gorgeous for beach goers... humidity is low, and the ocean surf remains warm.  "Happy #Saturday friends"... wishing all of you a beautiful fun-filled weekend.  ;)

Rheumatoid Arthritis Support  - Cape Fear Hero: Working through Rheumatoid Arthritis

"After an extensive amount of research and a dramatic lifestyle changes, she is now able to take daily walks on the beach and has become an advocate for those suffering from the same disease.
Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune disease which causes pain, stiffness and inflammation in all joints of the body. (* organs of the body)  It's a wonder she's able to take a stroll on Wrightsville Beach after being diagnosed twelve years ago.
Her doctor had warned her that if she did not take medication for RA, she would wind up in a wheelchair.  That's when Guerriere decided that she was going to fight back.  She began extensive research into the disease and eventually discontinued all medicines and discovered food items that brought on extensive pain.  It was a move that changed her life.
"I changed my diet completely to the things I knew were healthy for me, I quit all medications that the doctor had given me," said Guerriere. "I weaned off of things that were addictive and to date, I am medication free and listen to my body.  That is one thing that I've learned."

TEST DRIVE: Six15 Technologies Infinity Smartglasses Make A Splash! http://bit.ly/1LfsWx0 by @Sapphirecover24

(Author +Matt Margolis ) "I sat down with Jim Donnelly , Vice President of Product Development at Six15 and checked out the Infinity.1 Smartglasses firsthand. The smartglass design was sleek, lacked bulk and was surprisingly lightweight. The screen view was clear and presented a viewable image that would be comparable to a 21-inch monitor as seen from 3 feet away. The response time of the smartglasses was impressive. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised to see a fashionable and functional smartglass device that was also competitively priced in the marketplace."

First Responders and #smartglasses saving lives!

First responders and #smartglasses  saving lives!

EMTs can use smart glasses to gather critical information as they triage patients and provide a seamless digital handoff when they arrive at hospitals. Healthcare providers can use wearable optical displays to access information while planning treatment and conducting operations. Smart glasses enable staff to quickly review patient health histories to make sure planned care doesn’t cause complications or negative side effects that could have been foreseen. Healthcare staff can also hold real-time video conferences with other specialists, driving to decision.

Six15 wearable optical displays help medical and healthcare professionals work together seamlessly as a team in routine and emergency care situations, as well as planned operations. With hands-free access to patient information, including vitals, medical records, and drug regimens, medical teams can focus all of their attention to provide exceptional patient care.

Chronic illness upsets life as we once knew it. The lifestyle changes we face become more and more difficult as time passes; these new challenges can make even the strongest warrior weary as they battle their health problem.

What can we do to help ourselves?

1.  Take inventory of your daily needs and prioritize whats most important to your health physically and mentally.
2.  Recognize changing limitations. Work within your personal boundaries. Managing life creates a balance and you feel more in control.
3.  Take an honest appraise of your personal situation. Do you need to downsize, reorganize, change jobs, apply for social security disability?

Accepting limitations is not easy.

It's discouraging not to be able to do the things you use to do, such limitations cause frustration, emotional pain, negative feelings about oneself, even concluding you have 'no value' just to end up sucked into a whirlpool of despair. Some isolate themselves because of the lack of ...

"The Future is Now"  .... if it is conceived in the mind and heart of man, he can acheive it.

A 1967 Philco-Ford Corp. produced #video with a glimpse into ideas on the future world of  1999.

Thanks +Rosies Cottage

This is well worth a watch, made in 1967, it's a glimpse of how the Philco-Ford Corporation thought we'd be living in 1999.  Scary how many things they got right such as email, the internet, large screen tvs.  Interesting.

A beautiful resort and pristine beach destination with exquisite accommodations. We stayed in suite 700 on the 7th floor. The rooms were immaculate and decorated/ furnished nicely. A wonderful Spa tub in the master along with a spacious full balcony looking out to the Atlantic. The resorts has multiple amenities with pools, saunas, volley ball and ocean-side dining at it's finest. We had the best mini-vacation and plan to return in October to celebrate our 16th anniversary. I would rate this resort as excellent and 5 star.
