Sunday morning at Grand Central Terminal.  The coffee shops are open and it's a sleepy time in the generally bustling food court.   #NYC #GrandCentral #blackandwhitestreetphotography   #streetphotography     #monochromeworld   #monochromephotography

Here's another one from the classroom. The kids were asked to be quiet for a few minutes, but not all of them were good at it. These three were definitely squirming in their seats. #India

I was inspired by +Eric Meola at #PPE to go back and revisit some images from Antarctica and Iceland.  In my perusal, I found this image.  Thanks, Eric! #Iceland

I'm so excited to be going back to India this November. This is a "found" photo from my last trip in 2011. This was taken in Jodhpur, which is known as the "Blue City", but this clearly wasn't taken in the section of the old town that is painted all blue.

I love the Milwaukee Art Museum.  We had the chance to spend some time during the Christmas holiday just focusing on the Calatrava addition.   #architecturephotography   #milwaukee

I had the fortune to be invited to a school in Mumbai to meet the kids, hang out, and take pictures. This stop was my favorite of the whole trip in 2011. Thank you, Amrita for taking us to meet your class.  And thanks to the kids, for being kids.  It doesn't matter where you are in the world, kids are generally the same.  #B&W #India #StreetPhotography

Introduction

My interest in photographing ethnic diversity and bio-diversity has led me to explore many lands including Cambodia, India, and Antarctica.  Here in the US, I'm passionate about using my camera to capture the beauty of the American landscape. Highlighting the unfamiliar within that well known landscape, I document disappearing beauty, changing weather, and unique perspectives. I've received recognition in numerous local and international competitions including the Epson Pano Awards, several Juror's Choice Awards with the Connecticut Association of Photographers, and the Jury Grand Prize at the Fairfield Museum and History Center. My work has appeared in art galleries, corporate brochures, and calendars. I also present at local and regional camera clubs in the Northeast.

first off, they have a really good beer selection. where else can you get stone beers? inventive and ecclectic pizzas grilled on premise in a traditional brick oven. kids love the nutella and marshmallow pizza for desert.

"awesome burgers. enough said. ok. i""ll say more. to truly understand how great the burgers are, just order the plain tavern classic to taste the fresh meat that is ground on premise every day -- never frozen. it does make a difference. amazing scotch list, too. it's a great new addition to the stamford dining scene. not everyone likes super thin crust greasy pizza - but this is the best! all they serve is pizza and you have a choice of a handful of toppings. if you're looking for crazy ingredients, you know, like chicken or arugula go to brickhouse. if you just like a traditional pie, this is the place. decor reminds me of a midwestern corner bar with pictures of firefighters from days past. very local.

traditional english pub decor serving very good food. the lunch scene can be crowded as it's one of a very few restaurants serving the purchase/harrison area so it's packed with mastercard, pepsi, and merrill lynch employees. (don't go there if you're trying to hide from co-workers!) burgers are good, salads are generous. the daily special can be quite inventive and is usually delicious.
