Quote: "Through others, we learn what is “good” and “bad,” acceptable or unacceptable, what produces positive or negative results. From there, we build our “selves” around what we learn from these cause-and-effect encounters."

Frankly, this is exactly what I find so dangerous about Trump and his deplorable followers. The positive feedback loop turns unacceptable behavior and ideology (assault of women, white nationalism, white supremacy, irrational hatred of Muslims, racism) into something accepted with their tribe. It grants legitimacy to things that should be driven from the realm of what is acceptable.

THAT is the system. By design, that IS the system."

Masters of Organic Architecture: Jacques Couëlle
How I managed to miss Jacques Couëlle in my travels through organic architecture is a mystery. Possibly because his most famous houses are located in the most expensive places in the world (his reported nickname "the architect of billionaires" says it all)....

This is why I've broken relationships with anyone I know who voted for Trump. They voted for this, and we're done.
