Studio flooring reveal!  #Pergo   #sponsored   #flooring
Advertisement After my little vacation and a week of workshop organizing, it’s exciting to get back to work in my studio again. I installed Pergo laminate floors and some of the baseboards. I still have to trim out under the cabinets and add some quarter round before the floors are totally finished in this section — but it’s looking great! …

I installed a cork wall in my studio while I was prepping for my barn door.  It sounds 1000 times easier than it was but the end result is what I wanted and it’s done now – so I’m happy with it!

I planned on building and installing 34 drawers in my studio this week. I got off to a rocky start, waisting time searching for materials and screws and by day two this week I had only finished ONE cabinet drawer.  Things should pick up for me now that I…

Today I’m sharing how I built my lumber cart for vertical scrap wood storage.  The side support brackets are what make this cart so functional.  Those brackets allow me to store long vertical pieces of wood securely so it can’t warp, bend, bow or twist.

Last Thursday I got to do something SUPER cool!  I got to help frame a house with +Lowe's Home Improvement  and +Habitat for Humanity  as part of National Women Build Week.  I'm partnering with Lowe's to follow the story of this house and the family that will live there. (And I'm racing to see if I can finish my studio by the time Shelby's whole house is done!) +TrinityHabitat

Introduction
I'm Sandra, a designer, carpenter and DIY Coach.  I design and build custom cabinetry and built-ins.  I share "How To" tutorials on my blog, Sawdust Girl to teach others how to build awesome cabinetry with simple techniques.

I also design custom plans and help clients build amazing built-ins for their homes.  They document their project with pictures and Sawdust Diaries that I share on my blog.

My Master Closet has been my most popular post ever.  It is the biggest built-in project I've tackled so far.  It took me four months to complete.  Most single projects don't take quite that long...it's a BIG closet.

Some of my other popular projects:
I hold form and function on equal planes.  Some rooms are tricky and require some real creativity to optimize their function while making them beautiful.  However, there are some general design tips and tricks that can be used in most any space to take it up a notch.
