EGGLESS CREPES

I think all Friday's need to be Treat Like with French Crepes loaded with cream, berries and icing sugar !! And why not?? We are just about enjoy the little Weekend pleasures - doing things we like without the routine !! That Friday feeling is always awesome... Don't you guys agree with me?

I am going to be honest today. While I was making Crepes for our Snack today, I was debating should I make eggless crepes or with egg. For many using Egg is introducing a lot of protein in food. But for many, it is associated with a lot of allergies and for few, eggs are against their ethics and so forth.

But there is nothing that you miss in this recipe when loaded with berries or your favourite chocolate spread.

RAM LADOO | STREET FOOD FROM DELHI, INDIA

HI Guys Howdy?
This picture potrays a very delicious street food from India called Ram Ladoo. Lentil Fritters topped up with Chutneys, grated radishes , coriander leaves and a sprinkle of chat masala.

How did I shoot this image?

ISO 200 | F7.1 | 1/4 sec

Shooting something so appetising is actually a bit tricky as you need to bring out the essence of the subject { chaat in the case}
In a dish like this, chutneys can be topped up to ones liking, but I have added just enough to potray in the picture .

Color coding for this image is kept to minimal - Browns, Yellow, Green and White. Keeping this mind, I have worked on the set up.

Lighting

Back lit Image , shot at 60- 75 Angle.

STILL LIFE CHERRIES in a MILK CAN

Today I do not have a special set up to share. But this image is really special to me as I learnt to play around with composing 3 years back.
But the minimal Editing that I have learnt in these years have given the cherries a facelift!

How did I shoot this image?
ISO 400 | F / 8 | 1/4 sec 50 mm 1.4 lens

Lighting & Set Up
Its a very basic set up as you can see with a brown tone base and black cardboard in the background and aim was to capture the gorgeous Red Cherries .
Side Lit at 3'oclock angle!

Minimal Editing with Lightroom gives the image a stricking facelift!

CHERRY TOMATOES ON VINTAGE BAKING TRAY

I have been shooting literally everyday for a recipe development project and this required me to hunt for the freshest ingredients.
These beauties had to be captured before I actually sliced them to make some Tabbouleh.

How did I shoot this image?
ISO 00 | F7.1 | 0.4 sec 100mm macro

Set up for the Shot
Cherry Tomatoes on the vine were placed on the Rustic Baking Tray. Scissor to add a little detailing in the image.

Lighting
Top Down Side Lit Shot
Light falling on the tomatoes were slightly harsh, hence I had to diffuse them .

Minimal editing in Lightroom.

HOMEGROWN BASIL POT

These Homegrown Basil Pot sit on my kitchen window sill and love the way they smile at me. We had some wonderful light today that I decided to capture them.

How did I shoot this image?
ISO 320 | F 7.1 | 1/6sec 100 mm macro

Lighting
This is a backlit image where my light is falling from the window at 12 ' o clock. It is diffused so we have a soft light falling on the subject.
On my left hand side, I did see a deep intense shadow and to avoid it, I have used a white card between 7 - 9' o'clock to bounce it back.

SALTED CARAMEL SAUCE

Well this sauce has the mandatory pouring shot, otherwise its considered incomplete ;) Pouring shot shows the consistency of the caramel and also its way to connect to your readers.

How did I shoot this image?
ISO 500 | F4.5 | 1/20 sec 100mm macro

Set up for the Shot

Its a natural set up with a wooden base and dark background. Since the glass jars easily show reflections on them , its tricky to click them .

Lighting
Natural Light falls on the subject between 2 - 4 ' o clock angle and it is blocked between 8'clock and 2' o clock.
