On-premises software has its place in the world – there are some things that in-house software can do better than cloud computing. However, with the increase in popularity of cloud computing, that list is getting shorter and shorter. Cloud-based applications can potentially be used for anything and everything that in-house software is used for today. In certain cases, such as with customer relationship management systems, it can vastly improve upon the older methods. In this section, we’ll discuss the benefits of cloud computing and how this new wave of technology is changing the face of computing and business.
