Went Monday afternoon to look at a used car we saw online. Probably the best shopping experience I ever had! Cole our salesman and Danny the finance guy where absolutely fantastic in getting us into this vehicle at the price we where hoping for. Even though the vehicle we traded in nor the SUV we where buying was a Toyota we where treated with the utmost respect like we where buying a 2015 Top Model Toyota. The vehicle we bought was a 2004 Ford Explorer which was in excellent condition and we absolutely love it. We will definitely recommend this dealership to all our friends! "Great Job San Marcos Toyota" Wolfgang and Holly

The staff wanted to take care of us. We were very specific in the vehicle we were looking for and didn't really want to settle for anything outside that. The staff worked to find what we were looking for and ordered the vehicle from another dealer. When one option was not exactly what we expected, they went out of their way to make adjustments at no additional cost so that we would be satisfied with the vehicle we drove off the lot. I've always hated buying cars, but they spent precious little time haggling on price and we were able to agree on both the price and trade in value in under 15 minutes of "negotiations". Not only that, but it was a price I was more that satisfied with. I would say of the 6 vehicles we've purchased in four different states, this was the best overall experience.

Today was my 3rd time to purchase a new car from San Marcos Toyota and I will give them 5 stars again. My salesman was Chandler Grant. He was very professional and explained the entire process from beginning to drive out. I felt very comfortable with him, feeling his honesty and integrity as a salesman was 5 stars. I've been very pleased with the service department at San Marcos Toyota. I'll definitely continue recommending San Marcos Toyota to my friends.

In September of 2014 I was in the market for a 2014 Camry and unfortuanately upon contacting the internet sales department I was not happy with them. So I decided to buy my Vehicle at Cavender Toyota in San Antonio Texas. They were great!! However I decided to have my car serviced here in San Marcos because this is where I live. I received a recall card in the mail and I wanted to give them another shot at making it better. I took my car in for first 5000 miles. We talked about the recall and he said he could do an inspection and it would take an hour. I told him I would schedule on a different day to do that, and I did. They informed me I would need to leave my car all day to have that service done. I made arrangements with them to take me to work and pick me up when complete. When I arrived Shannon who said would be there was not there. I became very frustrated and upset. Mr. Bob Beaudro assured me he would make it all better. Upon reviewing the appointment he told me he didn't even know if they had the part. After calling the parts department I come to find out that they don't have the part and it needs to be ordered. ( NOW I AM FURIOUS) Mr Beaudro assured me he would take care of me and he would make it right. He said he could still get the inspection done and they drove me to work. When I returned for my car. He assured me I would receive a call from him late that following week to have my service done. It has been over two weeks and I have yet to receive a call from them. It's sad to say that I don't ever want to have anything to do with San Marcos Toyota! I wanted to give them a try but I should've known it wasn't going to get better. It's a shame because I love Toyota! and I support our local businesses. I encourage you to find a Toyota Dealership who will take care of your needs. Because Toyota makes great cars!!

Purchased a used van here, from a very slick salesman (said he was from TN). Never felt so 'taken for a ride' in my life. Went on vacation with the van parked at home. After a few weeks, two exhaust codes pop up, read it with my $35 reader from Amazon (after researching the code - Cat Converter under performance both sides $3k repair) found out this code wouldnt pop up until the engine had been driven for at least an extended period of time and failed twice. Discussed with the salesman and dealer service, he said we can look at it but it will be $125 to diagnose the issue, and you will have to pay the repair. Not covered. WTH??? They cleared the codes before selling this van, shady dealership, wouldnt buy a car there. Needless to say never going back. Any of my friends that have gone here had similar issues with this place. I would question some of the positive reviews, note they only ever posted one review.... possibly employees ??? Just saying.

DO NOT GO HERE. pros: 1. free water cons: 1. they literally do not ever call you back. they kept my car for 9 days to fix a cracked windshield with no call after they told me itll be a day or two. ac broke it took 3 tries to set up the appointment! 2. they eat more then they work. i spent 8 hours there and they ate almost they whole time. (dont worry they offered me and my bf a water while we were stranded for 8 hours.) 3. when i finally got my car after 2 weeks, the ac broke day one. windshield whipper falling off, and they detail clean they kept it an extra day to do was garbage. there was a blob of mud on the side above the door and smelled like sweaty man and smoke. 4. a month of us telling them to fix our car and its still broken, we took it in and they put freeon in it (cus that wont leak out again hopefully.) it leaked out in less then a day so i know the crack must be huge in the ac unit. 5. they are rude, i asked to speak to the manager and he acted like it was a huge hassle to be torn away from his food trough to do his job. these people are a joke, we wanted a new car so we wouldn't have to get it fixed all the time and this car has just been more of a problem then anything else. dear corporate Toyota, stop paying these people to sit around and eat. fire them and hire people who at the very least know how to use a phone or can at least say sorry when they screw over so many of your days off or free time with their incompetence.

I just purchased a Lexus IS250 3 days ago from a dealer in New Braunfels and neither he nor I could locate the McGuard lug nut key. I was recommended to visit this location and that they would be able to take care of me because they have a master set to remove the four locking lug nuts so that I can put four new regular nuts on. Unfortunately when I arrived I discovered they were going to charge over $100 to use their key to remove four lug nuts. The gentleman recommended I order another lock however I need to get the brakes serviced this week and these days I don't see the point of having locks. I have changed many a tire on the side of the road and manually it only takes about 2 to 3 minutes to crack the nut and hand screw it off. Using the pneumatic hammer it would take them significantly less than that, well under a minute. Assuming it takes them 6 minutes to make it around the car that's (rounding up) $16.67/minute. I hope one day I make that much a minute, but for now that's more than my hourly wage. Thanks, but no thanks.

I bought a used car and I changed my mind on the extended warranty. I went to the dealership and filled out the paper work to cancel it. The refund was not complete and is missing a few hundred still. No one has returned my calls after leaving a message three times. I have emailed several times and no one calls or emails you back. The email through their site is the kind you fill out a set form so you never really know if you contact anybody. I am with the other people that say they have no accountability set up at that location. They must have one horrible general manager there. By the Way I sure would like to know some of the other people contacted the corporate office.
