In September of 2014 I was in the market for a 2014 Camry and unfortuanately upon contacting the internet sales department I was not happy with them. So I decided to buy my Vehicle at Cavender Toyota in San Antonio Texas. They were great!! However I decided to have my car serviced here in San Marcos because this is where I live. I received a recall card in the mail and I wanted to give them another shot at making it better. I took my car in for first 5000 miles. We talked about the recall and he said he could do an inspection and it would take an hour. I told him I would schedule on a different day to do that, and I did. They informed me I would need to leave my car all day to have that service done. I made arrangements with them to take me to work and pick me up when complete. When I arrived Shannon who said would be there was not there. I became very frustrated and upset. Mr. Bob Beaudro assured me he would make it all better. Upon reviewing the appointment he told me he didn't even know if they had the part. After calling the parts department I come to find out that they don't have the part and it needs to be ordered. ( NOW I AM FURIOUS) Mr Beaudro assured me he would take care of me and he would make it right. He said he could still get the inspection done and they drove me to work. When I returned for my car. He assured me I would receive a call from him late that following week to have my service done. It has been over two weeks and I have yet to receive a call from them. It's sad to say that I don't ever want to have anything to do with San Marcos Toyota! I wanted to give them a try but I should've known it wasn't going to get better. It's a shame because I love Toyota! and I support our local businesses. I encourage you to find a Toyota Dealership who will take care of your needs. Because Toyota makes great cars!!

We were not going to buy a new mini-van but due to Matthew Welch's fine salesmanship we happily have a new Sienna Limited. And his support continues after buying.

ZERO if it was possible. Worst experience ever. And Im still dealing with the issue. Purchased vehicle on 09/05 had to drive all the way back to dealership for them to correct my contract. Purchased and extended warranty and agreed on a price. On the final contract they charged me a significant amount more. Was told it was a mistake on their part and drive all the way back to their dealership to have that corrected. As if that wasnt enough, today is 09/29 and the outstanding balance on my trade in has not been paid off. So that means that I will having to be making payments on 2 car notes so my credit will not be affected. No one takes responsibilty for anything at this dealership. No one calls back when you leave messages. You get bounced back and forth to different people with no resolution. AVOID the headache and would suggest to go elsewhere

Leon Christakos the salesman that helped me needs to get a raise and become salesman of the year. After my 2008 Toyota Camry that I purchased on Sept 19 of this year was totaled. Leon went over and above (too much info to go into detail about) to get me into another Camry even newer and better than my last.
Response from the owner - 2 months ago
Fantastic! Hope all are okay from the incident where your car was totalled. Thanks for the note!

This is the WORST dealership I have ever dealt with. Extremely HIGH pressure sales. I went there to buy a camry hybrid and was told they did not have any and it would take weeks to get one. I was sold a Prius which I completely HATE. The sales manager lied during the sale becausae they wanted this car off their lot. The salesman never showed me anything about the car and when I complained 2 days later about gas mileage he blew me off. I took the car to the service department 5 days after the purchase and both the saleman and the service guy blew me off. This dsealership does not offer any 3-7 day ,money back like almost all other dealerships do and after the sale they do not want to deal with you at all. They do not return calls, they do not return emails. I have filed a complaint with BBB, DMV, and Toyota themselves. I am not speaking with an attorney to see if there are any legal actions I can take. I suggest you go to autonation in Austin, they are very helpful and offer a 3 day money back guarantee

Sadly these folks offered me $15k for my trade only to lower that offer to $11k a week later. They also advertised a Venza at $16.9k and then asked me to pay 18.9k while I was in the office. I had to renegotiate the price they had advertised on their website. Poor integrity and a lot of deceit.

Zero stars. Yes, zero stars. We found a Toyota Sienna that we liked here, but it had a few cosmetic problems. The windshield was cracked (how their detailing team overlooked that one is beyond me), there were some dents, the inside wasn't clean and had magic-marker marks on the fabric, a taillight was broken (just the glass, not the bulb). The first guy we talked to made it sound like all these things would be taken care of. We took it home to Austin for a day and had our mechanic look at it. He said it was basically sound, but was missing its spare tire. We added that to the list of things we wanted addressed. Returned to San Marcos Toyota the 2nd day and got a new guy - who again made it sound like all these things would be taken care of. But then when it came time to buy, we were handed over to yet another person - the bouncer I must presume - who told us they only thing they would address was the windshield, and they weren't coming down in price. Take it or leave it. Huh. We left it.

My wife routinely uses San Marcos Toyota to service her 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The Lube Department told her that she had a major coolant leak and had her make an appointment. I refilled and marked the coolant with a sharpie and the coolant never went down. Recently, the dealer asked me if I knew that my 2010 Toyota Prius had a temporary oil plug in it. I replied not that I knew of as they were the only ones who had changed my oil. They told me that my pan was stripped out at that a larger size plug could not be used. I was also informed that they could not initially get my oil filter off as it had been over-torqued and the bottom was just spinning. They eventually got it off. I was supposed to be called about “fixing the problem” but was never called. Note: They, San Marcos Toyota are the ones who have been changing my oil! Anything that they tell you should be followed up by a visit to another Toyota dealer or mechanic for a second opinion. I have bought two other Toyota's from other dealerships because of a possible “bait and switch” gimmick that they tried to pull on me. The salesman actually used that term! The only reason that I have been using them for servicing was because of the convenient location. The place has major integrity problems. If anybody has problems contact the General Manager. He actually wants to work with you and fix the problems that exist. After talking with him multiple times I am willing to give him a chance.
