Imagine if instead of hitting the barrier, a person was hit. This needs to stop. I wonder if the perpetrator is getting prosecuted. Credit: Royston Davies

The London Air Ambulance has just got its second helicopter.

Now let county air ambulances get more too. One for a county, with a less dense but spread out population over more land is not good enough. The LAA is the only partially NHS funded chopper in the country. The second delivery was all from donations. What?

Let all AAs be funded by the government.

Time is of the essence.

Would someone explain to me please?

Stumbled upon this article saying that Tory MPs blocked bill which would have given first aid training to children.

What? What? Why?

Ensuring someone is in the best possible condition as quickly as they can until trained medical assistance arrives is vital. Recovery position? Hello. Restarting the heart? Unblocking airwaves. Hello?!

In Year 6 (aged 11) there was a school trip to a life-saving training centre where first-aid training was taught. The works.

I forgot. A couple of years ago, I was walking through Wicksteed Park and there was, I think St. John's Ambulance was providing free first aid training. I ran over. I went over the basics. "Staying Alive" resuscitation etc.

Throughout the latter years of compulsory school, algebra was drummed into me. Still can remember (ish) Pythagorean theorem, SOHCAHTOA. I, errr... have it ready to use should someone's heart stop. Ohh ohh.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/tory-mps-block-bill-to-give-first-aid-training-to-children-by-talking-until-time-runs-out-a6742251.html

Conservative MPs have blocked a bill to bring first aid training to schools by talking non-stop until time to discuss and vote on it ran out. The Compulsory Emergency First Aid Education (State-Funded Secondary Schools) Bill would have required schools to teach first aid training to children as part of the national curriculum. The group of MPs used up the bill’s time by talking for hours, with one speech by an education minister described by the ...

The month of January is about to end; the first month of the year of 2016 gone. How did that happen? I've “done” January. The year of 2015 was very eventful. But I want to make 2016 even more so. The first month was a relaxed one, but still quite eventful and now I feel so content.

Ate here yesterday. We waited quite a while for a table but that was only because it was so popular. The restaurant was packed just after midday. They have these handheld devices which vibrate and flash to alert you when a table is free. So we went outside for a bit and sat in the pub area for a while. They apologised about the wait, and quickly guided us to our table. The ordering was quick (all entered on an app on a phone so no mistakes) and then the cooking time was super speedy! It was £10 for all you can eat salad, a main, all you can drink and a Sundae Best! Very tasty. Very good value. Enjoyed the food and the sea view. :)

I'd never been to this hairdressers before. Just back from university and needed my hair cut. I brought in a photo showing the kind of style I wanted. The lady, Michelle, asked exactly what I wanted and then clarified it whilst she was cutting and styling. Very impressed. A good 40 minutes was spent on my hair and all for a very, very good price. Definitely going back and will recommend to friends and family! Thank you.

Asked for a regular portion of chips thinking it would be regular but it was enormous! I eat a lot, and even I couldn't finish them.

Fantastic supermarket! Very handy. Nicely laid out (just wish they would stop changing things around). I phoned to check whether they had an item in stock and found a local number (rarity!) and they immediately answered and quickly looked for me. Very good service. Not sure what the other person is on about. It's not hard to get in!? This is not a local store issue, but a silly Sainsbury's policy. If you look under 25, they ask for ID when buying *any* item that requires ID. I'm 19 years old (soon to be 20) and the woman asked for my ID to buy a lottery ticket. (You have to be 16 to buy them.) -_- I had no ID on me and she wouldn't budge. I could have been dished out the winning numbers at that particular point. I am thinking of suing, or something.

I ordered a takeaway from Lucky's and it was lovely. The cooking time wasn't too long and it was delivered still piping hot. The dishes were delicious! Wasn't terribly expensive. Would order again.
