Would someone explain to me please?
Stumbled upon this article saying that Tory MPs blocked bill which would have given first aid training to children.
What? What? Why?
Ensuring someone is in the best possible condition as quickly as they can until trained medical assistance arrives is vital. Recovery position? Hello. Restarting the heart? Unblocking airwaves. Hello?!
In Year 6 (aged 11) there was a school trip to a life-saving training centre where first-aid training was taught. The works.
I forgot. A couple of years ago, I was walking through Wicksteed Park and there was, I think St. John's Ambulance was providing free first aid training. I ran over. I went over the basics. "Staying Alive" resuscitation etc.
Throughout the latter years of compulsory school, algebra was drummed into me. Still can remember (ish) Pythagorean theorem, SOHCAHTOA. I, errr... have it ready to use should someone's heart stop.
