That drill does not work the same as a impact gun, if you use a torque bar with it it won't be torqued to spec. and you may break the stud or bolt. i have heard of people destroying blocks because they tried to torque the head down like that. Dont be fooled by the mechanics that use them with a torque bar.

- The 'drill' I use on the wheel studs is a true electric impact wrench. I know, it's mine and I bought it. I also have the DeWalt battery drill so I know the difference....
Using an impact wrench on a cylinder head is never advised and is a silly idea, that's what torque wrenches are for.
I never said to use the impact wrench for the head bolts but when used with a torque bar on wheel studs, it's perfectly acceptable practice.Jun 26, 2015
