Over the weekend the +New England Patriots made the Lombardi Trophy available to fans to take a picture with at the Hall at Patriot Place. All wee needed to do was pay admission fee to the hall, no biggie. I figured this would be a great reason to visit the hall. I had not been to Gillette since the 2004 AFC Championship at which point Patriot Place nor the Hall existed. I took my son with me and on to Foxborough we ventured.

Josiah was very excited to say the least. He really wanted to meet "The Butler" which I told him was probably not going to happen as Malcolm Butler was elsewhere. Little did I know he was in LA where later that night he would be presenting the "Rock Album of the Year" award at the Grammys alongside Julian Edelman.

We arrived at Patriot Place and right away I noticed how much this place has changed since last I was here. So many shops, restaurants and even a movie theater. Wow!

We walk up to the hall and immediately we are greeted by a gentleman (scalper) who tells us that all tickets to the Hall are sold out and that we would not be able to enter without a ticket. He offered us his and his sons. I would have taken them but I had no cash on me. :( So we traveled over an hour and half and did not get to see the trophy, nor the hall and not even the Butler. :(

We were very sad but we just went to the Pro Shop. Others like us who arrived to the sad news where not so happy. There was a lot of anger in those halls. I felt bad for the lady who had the horrible task of informing everyone of the situation. I wish they would have posted something on the website or twitter or somewhere. But oh well.

We made the best of it. I bought a couple super bowl hats and a mini helmet and spent time with my son. He loved it there. The shear magnitude of the buildings and stadium is awesome.

We drove back home and continued celebrating at my niece's 3rd birthday party. So all in all Sunday was indeed a funday.
