Stargazing from the roof... like they do in the movies!
It's probably been more than a year since we upgraded out ladder to this nifty folding/rearranging one (the one he demos at the end in the background), with the intention of watching fireworks from the roof of the garage. Being able to climb up to the garag...

I had a dream the other night...
I was hiking up an old logging road, it was dirty, and dusty and extremely rutted... and it was steeper than it should have been. Semi-regularly there were plastic silver pins in the road with the NHL stamp on the top, almost like survey markers... I recogn...

Adventures in healthcare
So I finally got set up so I can set an appointment to get my healthcare checkups and had to go through the standard questions.  Some of these I routinely struggle with on paper, but of course it was more comical trying to answer them out loud with an audie...

Flux always makes me think of flux capacitor
I've been working on a project whereby a light will come on when someone has left the garage door open (even just a little bit), and that light will be visible from both down and upstairs... of course as we discovered last night, that only works if someone ...

My best friend just took me to see Wicked (the musical) and it was ah.Mazing! I love love love LOVED IT! I had heard from a few people that it was good, and if I ever got the chance to go see it, and that I would probably really like it... but none of that ...
I love love love LOVED IT! I had heard from a few people that it was good, and if I ever got the chance to go see it, and that I would probably really like it... but none of that prepared me for experiencing it in person, from the edge of the balcony! *grins* ...

Apple watch me! Watch me!
This year I got an Apple watch, and thus began the comparison against my beloved FitBitch... I don't know
anyone else with one yet, so the interaction with friends bit is unfulfilled and will
have to wait.  The cool factor for me is being able to measure ...

Pretty good campground, although fairly open. The staff were quite helpful, and regularly made rounds to clean the washrooms which is much appreciated. Not as nice as some of the campgrounds we've stayed in (you need to take your own soap or hand sanitizer to the washroom) but overall pretty clean. Fire pits and picnic tables on each site were well used but nice and solid. Lots of owl activity at night, and birds during the day with a few monarch butterflies flitting through and with it being not too far from the beach it was a nice escape to nature for the weekend. I would stay here again, but definitely bring something freestanding for shade in the summer.

They've done a really good job with their interactive displays, I found them interesting and there seemed to be lots of things for kids to look and interact with as well. Staff were quite friendly and helpful, I would like to go back and check out some of the trails they had also their view of the bay and "the rock" were amazing.

Got my hair cut with Brianne yesterday, took in a picture and she did a great job. Booked my appt online, didn't have to wait at all when I got there and she was done in 45 mins including a hair wash. Cost $55. The parlour was smaller than I thought based on the pictures they have on their website, but it isn't cramped. There's enough room for both hair dressers, they're really nice and down to earth, and I was quite comfortable chatting with them. I would go back and pay just for the hair wash :) Even though Google maps shows their location out by Stevens creek, they are actually tucked in under the big Salon sign next to Pizza My Heart.

I've been here a couple times, tried both the "Hot Momma Huda" and "The name of the girl I'm dating" on the Dutch Crunch and they were both delicious! Sandwiches are huge, and totally worth the price. This place is super popular though, so best not to go right at noon ;)

Great little informational center, the staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We flipped through the displays pretty quickly, as they are geared more towards kids, but I still learned a few things. I would definitely return again with any questions though as they were great to talk to.

Waiter was great, refilled our drinks and was available but not pushy or interrupting. I had the wave burger with cheese and bottomless fries, and it was great, totally hit the spot.

Actually the hours are 9-5 during the Fall/Winter season. They have a good selection of plants, and they look healthy... didn't really look at the prices that closely so I'm not sure how they compare to other places.
