So I want to buy a USB3 (or eSata?) hard drive dock (2-4 slots?) that supports Linux and hotswap - I want to be able to power up/down drives while my Linux machine is on.

This is a pretty niche requirement, sadly :( Any suggestions?

+Ben Taylor and I were looking for an app/website that does long-term, occasional reminders. It'd be for things like... change your sheets (every ~2 weeks), or replace the oil on your car (maybe months?), or go to the dentist (~6 months?).

Any suggestions? Should I build a webapp instead?

So, I watched Captain America: Civil War on a plane recently. It was shiny but otherwise just an absolutely terrible movie. I feel compelled to write about it for some reason.

Why? Because the entire plot could be replaced with all the characters just sitting down and talking to each other. Aside the ridiculousness of these superheroes just fighting each other for no overly good reason ("I want oversight!" "I don't want oversight!" "Let's try to kill each other because we can't appropriately control our rage!"), there's another plot point, which—I won't spoil, even though I want to—that involves a character blaming another for their actions while they were brainwashed. It's terrible to watch, and it goes on for the latter half of the movie. I don't want to put myself in either character's shoes, and ignoring the fact that there's no moral lesson be learned, it's not interesting.

The previous movies, despite constructing contrived, evil organizations and convoluted backstories—at least there's a clear imperative. Bad people want to reshape the world. Good people want to stop that. Yes, there's a lack of communication there too (despite some pretty good one-liners), but at least it feels justified.

I want a silly domain name hack for something related to a timezone utility. Thoughts? "timezone.in" is sort of my though process, but e.g. that's obviously taken.
