I'd like to be here more 'often' - but my time is taking a real beating at the moment. I always enjoy passing through though, G+ is definitely the most educational of all the social media I use!

Before I get going properly building the engine I want to have a pretty good idea of what it need to be able to do. Every turn the user can perform an action. Their choices boil down to: Moving. Atta...

Oh I know this one … way to well. On the one side it's sure income, on the other it's slow internal death.

Level generation is, in my opinion, one of, if not the most important element of a Roguelike. Different methods of level generation produce levels that feel very different, ranging from box stamping t...

I have a memory of reading 'Boy', by Roald Dahl and there being a practise in in the posh boarding school he went to of the younger boys being forced to sit on the toilet seats to warm them up for the...

Player then mobs. This is probably the easiest way to go. The player takes their turn, be it movement or action, then the mobs or npcs take their turn. Pros. This has the huge advantage that it's very...

Cute picture and videos of Josh. I love the 'stitch photos together' feature on g+'

I post a lot of pictures of Arie on G+, but never public. I'm quite finicky about it.

He looks such a big boy for just 1 year!

This is the persistent layer that sits on top of the Roguelike game play, added as a hub to give a sense of persistence to the user, make the game more casual friendly, and add avenues for rmt that do...

If you add Muhammed, don't forget to provide a shop that sells flags ... just to be sure. Porn is always a good selling point, too - although I meant it more in a feature counting kind of way (now that I re-read my first reply ...)

This is a follow on form my post on removing random from combat. In that I said I wanted to remove most random chance from my games basic combat. I also said I wanted to keep some positive random even...

Roguelikes are built on the good old random numbers generator. It runs from the level generation all the way to the combat and loot. The levels are randomly generated, the monsters are randomly spawne...

I think it'll be interesting to see anyway, I had my share with dungeon creation (just give me a shout if you want a look/code) and still working on a 3D version of my last attempt (for Hellstrom).

Given my time and resource limitations I'm going to have to try to be strict with myself as to what I'm trying to accomplish and what features I'm going to try to include. One of the reasons my previo...

I have been coming here for a few years and I have always had a good experience. I first used them for an emergency when a filling came loose during the weekend and they fixed it quickly and perfectly. I have since been using them for my check ups + oral hygiene and an issue I had with my gums and I have never been disappointed. They may be slightly more expensive than my old NHS dentist, but that's a small price to pay for the convenience of being able to book appointments at any time to suit me, and frankly the work they have done and the service they give has been so much better. Totally recommend the clinic, dentists and staff. In my opinion they are the best !

Went here last night. The wine was good and my wife's steak was nice but mine had a streak of sinew going right through it. This made it difficult to cut and tiring to chew. I expected better for the price. The side salad was poor and the chips were mediocre.
