Dr. Nabil Shaath's book signing event tonight at the Mahmoud Darwish Museum. His autobiography is titled, "My Life: From the Nakba to the Revolution." It's the first of 3 volumes. Regardless of your politics, one must respect someone who dedicated his entire life to the struggle and has the wisdom and energy to document it for future generations. Visit the Mahmoud Darwish Museum here to hear some of the discussion: https://www.facebook.com/DarwishFoundation/.

Palestine Strategy Group's (PSG) last workshop in this phase of our work with the Palestinian Forum for Israeli Studies (MADAR) on how to better link/coordinate Palestinians in Palestine with those in Israel. MK Ayman Odeh presented his views and an insightful discussion followed. The amount of history and brain power in the room was impressive. Stay tuned for the forthcoming PSG strategy report to bring it all into policy perspective for action.

This is what lifelong struggle looks like in action...

In my stomping grounds of Youngstown, Ohio, out in full force braving -15 degrees Fahrenheit (-26 Celsius) bone-chilling cold, over 220 Youngstowners from across the religious and political spectrum joined to speak out and be heard against Trump's bigotry and hate.

This is Youngstown (Population: 65,000), where Trump only months before on the campaign trail had called for a "total and complete shutdown" of Muslim immigration.

In this clip (http://www.vindy.com/videos/2017/feb/03/4147/) of the demo are people I love: my sister Leila at center screen at second 15; my 76-year old father Sami at center screen at second 30; not photoed in the clip, but present were also my lifelong friend Mousa Kassis; conscientious objector, Quaker, peace activist and civil rights activist, tax resister, historian, professor, author, lawyer and dear brother Staughton Lynd; our former Ohio State Senator and Ohio House Representative Bob Hagen who served for 28 years; Ohio House of Representative Michelle Lepore-Hagan; the rock solid Rev. Werner Lange; and so many others.

KEEP ON KEEPING ON AND SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER...
and ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE!

WORDS TO LIVE BY

Written 122 years ago, in 1895, by British poet Rudyard Kipling and published in 1910, this poem is as ever relevant today than it has ever been. It should be required reading for all students.

In addition to reading, I strongly suggest you listen to it performed here: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems-and-poets/poems/detail/46473
