Android versions are named after desserts. We just got "Ice Cream Sandwich" for "I", and people are guessing on what the next few will be. "Jellybean" seems like a natural for "J", and I would like to propose "Kheer" for "K".

There are a zillion first- and second-generation Indians at Google. Further, non-Indians, even those who are a bit xenophobic about food, find kheer to be yummy. Seems like a natural to me, even though it will make creating the statue for the sculpture garden a bit more challenging.

The “inevitability” of technological evolution ... may not be so inevitable when it comes to migrating to IPv6.

Amazing: The border between India and Pakistan is floodlit and visible from space at night.

"On the Internet, geographic locality does not translate into Internet locality, and the distinction can result in unexpected latency, frustrating users of real-time applications."
Packet latency is a big issue in Internet-based applications (ie the stuff in the cloud). In conducting analysis on Internet infrastructure over the years, we have seen many patterns of connectivity. ...

This is starting to get scary - I challenge you to read some of these stories and not feel as if we've lost a part of the American Dream: "We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent."

Is it odd that these protests are happening on Wall Street but not in front of the Capitol or White House?

500 pilots are marching on Wall Street.... I wonder if the NYPD will hit them with Pepper spray and beat them too?

I think this can be extended to all subjects. Applied, self-paced learning is superior to traditional methods which cannot nurture curiosity.
