Just in case you want to control the playback on your monitor  with your phone and don't want to install a remote desktop client :-)

How to turn your Linux machine into a Chromecast Server
Stream YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, Etc. from your smartphone or tablet onto your server or laptop.  ...without buying Chromecast hardware...

Prerequisite- Install Google Chrome on your Desktop.  Install Chromecast application onto your portable device.

Copy and paste these commands:

1) sudo apt-get install git python-setuptools
2) git clone https://github.com/dz0ny/leapcast.git
3) cd ./leapcast
4) python setup.py develop
5) leapcast --name MyNameHere --chrome /usr/bin/google-chrome --fullscreen

Run the Chromecast application on your phone or tablet.  Make sure your devices are on the same WIFI channel.   Your phone will discover your device named MyNameHere.

Now, when you run Netflix, YouTube, etc. your video streams to your computer and its sound system- when you click on the new little square Chromecast icon in your window.  You'll figure it out.

Does it work?  Yes.  Have fun!

Everything is better with explosions!
When you trip and fall, just hope you aren't on camera, because the internet loves failure... Someone will upload your mistake and everyone else will have a good laugh. This seems like a sad situation, but there is silver lining should this ever happen to...

Reddit says that Google is suppressing view counts on videos that are critical of the new comments layout, as well as any negative comments as well. I hope this is not true, as that would be extremely petty.

+TuneIn What do you say about "iHeartRadio" gaining chromecast support before you? You guys used to be ahead of the curve, so I dropped iHeartRadio and switched to tunein. Looks like that was a bad mistake. iHeartRadio's app has been improving by leaps, while yours has basically stayed the same. :-(

Pretty awful experience all round. The employees don't really care for the people coming in, they just go through the motions. I did not see a single person leave the place happy. Not great ambassadors of India, really. Or maybe, the perfect ambassadors of the Indian government.

Used to love this place, but it has really taken a turn for the worse over the past year or so. - The never get the carry out orders right anymore; I don't remember the last correct order that I got. - Some of the menu items, like burnt garlic fried rice and crispy chilly fried potatoes, are now distinctly worse than before. - Service during lunch hours is horrendous. I am probably not going back here anymore. It was nice while it lasted.

The bagels tasted stale, the iced coffee had milk in it and the deli options were extremely limited. The only thing going for this place was the service, but it was still one of the worst meals I have had, of late.

Amazing experience, right from the ordering stage to the pickup. Every single one of the assorted dozen that I bought was loved by my team. Now Dunkin is selling cronut-wannabes for $2.50 each, and they don't hold a candle to the ones available here. One downside is that it probably isn't heart-healthy to visit this place more than twice a year. :-)

Very well organized and helpful training staff. They should probably hire someone to advertise better, though...

A must-visit for all animal lovers. Great volunteers doing great work! Try to get the twilight tour, and if you like it, do consider supporting this cause.
