The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of SGT University organized a Capacity Building Workshop on OSCE &OSPE for about 20 faculty members of Health-related specialties on 7-8th May 2018.
The #Day2 of the workshop was focused on OSCE i.e Objectively Structured Clinical Examination.
The concept of OSCE, its requirements, stations, checklist etc was explained and demonstrated by Dr. Pankaj Abrol, Professor, and Head, Department of Pediatrics, FMHS.
The faculty members have demonstrated the stations with simulated patients followed by the exercise by faculty members where they prepared stations pertaining to their faculty and discussed with Director IQAC.
This was followed by distribution of certificates to participants and facilitators.

The #SGTUniversity, #FacultyofLaw organized a One-day Seminar “Democratic Constitutionalism in Crisis” held on 3rd May 2018 at seminar Hall ISIL, New Delhi. The following dignitaries and panelists were present

1.Prof. Upendra Baxi Former V.C. Delhi University
2.Mr. P. K. Malhotra Former Secretary (Law & Justice) Govt. of India
3.Ms. Pinky Anand Former Additional Solicitor General of India
4.Mr. Sudhanshu Ranjan, Senior Journalist
5.Ms. Rhythm Bhardwaj (Republic Television)

The Seminar started with a welcome note extended by Dean Faculty of Law, who in his welcome address put some light on the topic of the seminar and its need to be critically evaluated by the media.

Prof. Baxi gave a concept to the collegium system and its reference in Indian Constitution which is neither mentioned in Indian constitution nor practiced anywhere in the world.

The Guest of Honor Ms. Pinky Anand categorically answered the queries and questions raised by the program convener Ms. Rhythm Bhardwaj reiterating her conformity with the views of Prof Upendra Baxi. She was keen and responsive to the ideas of separation of powers under Indian Constitution and was very well versed in identifying the Lacuna under various constitutional structures.

Mr. P. K. Malhotra was thoroughly well versed with the topic of the seminar and referral a number of cases, which have been the milestones, decided by the Supreme Court and by the descending Judges including Justice H. R. Khanna and his stand against the dictators ‘Habeas Corpus case and establishing the doctrine of ‘Basic Structure’.

Mr. Sudhanshu Ranjan was pointing out his views to look at the issues of Indian Constitution which are in crisis. Where the equilibrium among all three organs of the state and its interpretation by the media is violating the demarcations. He was vocal to speak about the adulteration of values by the people and the institution. In a question raised by one faculty of Dr. Abdul Azim Akhtar regarding his claim of reserving judicial vacancies on the basis of categories of Reservation and giving proportionate representation, was convinced with this idea and insisted which apply the soul of Indian Constitution and its democratic values.

The program was ended with a thank note by Prof Rajiv Khanna to Chief Guest and the panelists by providing the mementos and saplings, it was attended by the entire Faculty of Law and the huge no. of students who were benefited with the lifetime achievements and memories of listing legal Luminaries and it was a huge success.

The students of FAS (Faculty of Agricultural Sciences) visited Agri Leadership Summit on 26/03/2018. #FacultyOfCommerceandManagement of #SGTUNIVERSITY organized one day workshop on The Power of Digital marketing with respect to the impact of #socialmedia, on 2nd April 2018.
Experts (Mr. Tarun Arora, Mr. Pankaj Kansal, and Mr. Jitender Kumar) explained the new concepts of Digital marketing and its implications with the help of practical sessions of Facebook Ads and AdWords, content writing, the role of keywords and their bidding etc.
Dean Faculty of Commerce and management Prof. Dr. K Tara Shankar chaired the session and students got to learn new insights of the buzz word #Digitalmarketing.

Touching new horizons in contemporary #endodontics with the coveted speaker and mentor Dr. P. D. Joshi, a pioneer in microscopic centric dentistry, at the continuing #dentaleducation programme.
"Shaping protocol with newer #NiTiinstruments" conducted by the #DepartmentofConservativeDentistry and Endodontics, #SGTDentalCollege, Hospital and Research Institute, #Gurgaon; understanding learning and discovering the complicated canal pathways with the help of newer Niti instruments, followed by a live demo under the operating dental microscope where his unmatched experience spoke for itself.
The day was concluded with a Hands-on session with Protaper gold kit, for the contestants to learn with and keep!
It was indeed a day of exciting endodontics!

#DepartmentOfElectronics and #Communication conducted expert talk by Mr. Umesh Kumar Arya, Sub Divisional Engg Manager (IPSTAR), Satellite Earth Station, #Sikandrabad.
He started his talk by giving a formal introduction of the topic ''SATELLITE COMMUNICATION AND ITS APPLICATION''.
He outlined #IPSTAR system and major components, IPSTAR Satellite.
IPSTAR gateway, IPSTAR beam types and explained RF system, Routing activities, Monitoring, and Control system.
This expert talk turned out to be very informative for the students as well for the faculty members.

(FET) & #DepartmentofForensicScience (FAHS) in collaboration with Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology (SGT Medical College) of SGT University organized a National workshop on “#CyberCrime: An Emerging Challenge for the Society(CCCS-18). by inviting a young and dynamic speaker, Mr. Neeraj Arora and Mr. Sandeep Arora on 30th March 2018.
There were total 200 registered delegates including internal as well as external delegates.
The program included the introduction of #SGTUniversity by Dr Rajneesh Wadhwa, Dean FET followed by the welcome of guest speakers.
The inauguration was started by the lamp lighting ceremony followed by the welcome Address by Dr Rajinder Singh Dangi Prof.& HOD Forensic Science and Chairman for CCCS-18. Prof.Emeritus Dr. T D Dogra in his address stressed upon the importance of knowing cybercrime for the Forensic, #Engineering, medical and related fraternity. SGT University memento were presented to Guest speakers by Prof. Daleep Singh, Vice Chancellor and by Dr T.D Dogra, Director IQAC and sapling as token of gratitude were given by Dr VK Govila, Dean FAHS and Dr RKP Singh, Prof. & HoD Deptt. of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology.
The inaugural program was concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Dr JS Mahanwal and appreciation was given to organizing committee which comprised of Dr Leena (FAHS), Ms Vimmi Malhotra (FET), Mr Zunaid (FET), Dr Archana (FAHS), and Dr Suma GN (FDS) and other supportive members.

#DepartmentOfComputerScience had organized one day Workshop on #CISCONETWORKING in collaboration with #Elan & #Nvision #IIT #Hyderabad held on 6th April 2018 at #SGT #University, #Gurugram, a Zonal round for #Braintech Championship 2018. The young and dynamic speaker Mr. Manish Bhardwaj was invited and he delivered a wonderful session with hands-on training. The event started with a motivational speech by Dr. T D Dogra, Director at IQAC followed by Dr. Rajneesh Wadhwa, Dean FET who encouraged the students about the importance of this workshop.
Dr. Manoj Kapil, Professor & HOD of CSE Department addressed the students. The welcome note was delivered by Dr. Chitra Kaul, Associate Professor (CSE). More than 350 students attended this workshop. There were participants from colleges other than SGT University. The session was concluded with a test where five teams registered their place for Brain Tech Championship 2018 which will be held on 21st April 2018. The winners are:

On the occasion of #WorldHealthDay (7/04/2018) , #FacultyofNursing, Community
Health Nursing department organized a Mass awareness programme at #CHC #FarrukhNagar,
#Gurugram by B.Sc Nursing 2 nd year students under the guidance of Dean FON Prof. Santosh Mehta, Mr. Sunil Kumar Dular, Mr.Muzzafar Makrani, Ms Usha Yadav and Ms. Manisha.
This year marked the 70 th anniversary of WHO and the theme for this year is “ Universal Health Coverage: Everyone, Everywhere” and the slogan is “Health for all”. This is to ensure that everyone and everywhere can access essential quality health services without facing financial hardship. The components of this programme were role-played, Health education, an inauguration of #Measles-Rubella Campaign and Oath taking on universal health coverage. The programme
focused on various national health programmes and health schemes related to communicable and non-communicable diseases, Maternal and Child Health and family welfare services.

#WorldHealthDay is observed every year on 07 April to raise public awareness about the specific health problem as per the chosen theme. The theme of World Health Day 2018-
“Universal health coverage: Everyone, Everywhere”- focuses on building commitment to “Health for All”.
Universal health coverage is about ensuring all people can get quality health services, where & when they need them, without suffering financial hardship.
A health campaign on World Health Day was organized by Dept of #CommunityMedicine,
SGT Medical College on 7 th April 2018.
Following activities were organized during the campaign:
a) Poster competition for MBBS Students (4 th & 6 th Semester) on 6 th & 7 th April 2018
from 09.00-10.00- AM in Dept of Community Medicine, #SGT #MedicalCollege
Building. Posters were judged by Panel of Judges composed by Dean FMHS, Addl
Dean & Professors. Best five posters were given prizes out of 66 posters received.
Prizes were distributed by Director Medical Services & Dean, FMHS to winners.
b) World Health Day Awareness Rally which was flagged off by Director Med
Services & Dean, FMHS at 10.00 AM on 7 th April 2018 in front of #SGTMedical
College Building (Block C).
c) Multi-Specialty Medical Camp with #HolisticHealthApproach and #HealthEducation
Activities at Sadhrana Village by at 10.00 AM onward on 7 th April 2018 for the local
population.
