Looks cool, but I am not sure I would be getting one any time soon. Would have to trade in one of my other bikes...or my wife would kill me.

As good excuse as any if you need to buy a new motorcycle. I personally wouldn't buy any of these new motorcycles all my bikes or old classics like a couple of old Triumphs a couple of 1974 TT 500 from Yamaha a 1972 XS650 knocked out to a 750 Flat Tracker with a factory cam the damn thing will hit 80 in first. I have other bikes I'm working on now I'm restoring them back to the stock or as close to it as I can get.

This is what happens when installing heated grips on the Honda Africa Twin. It really is a fairly big job.

Congrats to all who took a new bike home today. Thank you everyone for celebrating Earth Hour with us; it was nice seeing new & familiar faces! Remember to turn off your non-essential lights tonight from 8:30pm to 9:30pm! Couldn't it make to Earth Hour? It's okay, we still have numerous deals in our parts and gear department! Stop by SF Moto to speak to our staff. We are open 7 days a week. See you soon!

Business model is terrible. They price their used bikes well above market value and say they won't do any negotiating, but they'll call if the price gets reduced. (Basically, back to market value if they don't rope in a sucker) I'm not trying to buy a brand new motorcycle where margins are slimmer; I'm trying to buy a used motorcycle. Sure, they're entitled to list at whatever price they want and let inventory sit around, but don't claim that your prices are fair. Sales associate, David, was a pleasure to work with.

David, First, thank you for your feedback, it is always good to hear how our policies are interpreted by our customers and we welcome the chance to explain our pricing policy. Second, thank you for the comments on our sales representative David, he is an excellent example of the kind of person we strive to employ here at SF Moto and it is good to hear that your experience with him lived up to our aspirations. Next, let me assure you that we in no way consider you or any other customer a potential "sucker." We try to stock our floor with the very best examples of every bike we sell (i.e. very clean, low mileage, just serviced, etc.). We are not a "bargain seller" for someone that wants to buy a bike that "just needs a little love." We sell bikes that are ready for you to ride confidently and need nothing until their next scheduled service. We inspect every bike, replace wear-items (like tires, brake pads, chain & sprockets) if they have less than 40% of their life left—elevating all of our bikes to very high standards—we also warranty the bike for 90 days and provide our used bike customers with a year of roadside assistance and a discount on labor in our shop on the bike that they buy here for the rest of their lives. Adding value in these ways necessarily drives up the cost (just adding a brand new set of tires could add 10% to the cost of some bikes) but, again, we are not trying to be a bargain seller. We sell high quality bikes here in the city (paying San Francisco rent, just like you probably do, and paying San Francisco wages), offering our customers a turn-key experience so that they can get their new bikes and worry about riding, not whether or not their bike will start every morning and get them to work or if they need a new set of tires or brakes in a month. We appreciate that this business model is not for everyone. Some people are more comfortable with taking their chances on Craigslist or buying "as-is" somewhere and there is nothing wrong with that. We have found that many of our customers value the quality and convenience that we offer and so we have been able to build a thriving business here. We understand that you are looking for something a little different in your motorcycle purchase and I have every confidence you will find it. I am sorry that it seems that you feel bad about the service we provided in this area but I hope that it won't stop you from considering us where your gear and service needs are concerned, we would like nothing better than to provide you with exactly the motorcycle related service you need. Thank you once again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback and, as always, ride safe. Eric H. Owner

So far so good. Have been in here a bunch of times. Gear, gloves, parts, and window shopping for a cruiser. VERY knowledgeable staff that helps you decide with facts and recommendations based on your needs and doesn't try to decide for you. i ended up getting an 1100cc cruiser from a private party for next to nothing. But it's a cold blooded SOB and sucks around town. Freeway my 1100 runs very rich but for the price, i can't complain. So i decided today to get a Grom for around town, a play toy, and a bike i won't need a ramp to load into the back of my pickup and doesn't take up the whole bed. I've honestly had more difficult ordering coffee. I had my two kids and dog with me. Took 5 minutes (give or take) to fill out the paperwork, the lady was amazingly friendly and helpful, and it was painless. Now, i have an annoying habit of getting everything together and wanting to sleep on it (and talk with the wife). In the past I've jumped the gun and had buyer's remorse. They were very understanding and didn't push the sale. I do a lot of window shopping to make sure i get exactly what i want. I'm use to pushy sales and finance people. You won't find that at SF MOTO. They were very patient, answered all my questions, and gave me no pressure to buy even after i got the loan approval for the bike. When I'm in the market for another bike, I'll definitely be coming back here. This is now my regular bike shop despite not being convenient for me to get to from the peninsula. I will recommend others to this business. I mean, they have my loan ready and waiting and were perfectly fine with me taking a few days to make a final decision. How cool is that? No pressure at all to buy.

Pretty small selection of bikes available lending to their rather small showroom. I purchased a bike here in 2012 and was happy with the bike but the financing situation left some things to be desired. I wasn't informed of some "fees" until after the fact, which was inappropriate. Being small enough I continued with the deal. Good selection of accessories and I have purchased quite a few of them. Parts department has been pretty miss: they either sold me the wrong parts or didn't have them. Staff has been overall very helpful and didn't question me returning parts that were incorrect, which is nice. Bottom line, they should have parts for bikes they currently sell.

These guys did right by me, selling me a SYM HD 200, that they then sold for me three years and 10,000 miles later, and mailed me the check. Also offered endless help regarding kit, helmets, jackets, safety, and naintenance.
