This does look interesting. I suspect in practice that the bump in the middle of the screen real estate would become annoying, though I recall some hand-held game systems had the same sort of design and remained popular.
An experiment in asking, by a lawyer with visual impairment:
"What I didI gave myself 7 days. Every time during that 7 days I ran into a particular kind of inaccessibility, I wrote to the owner/relevant authority and asked them to fix it. I aimed for short, factual, informative request letters."
Interesting, but unfortunately, not surprising. I'd be curious to see how/whether the results would differ if a similar trial was done without signing the letters with the "lawyer pomposity." I wonder whether some might have been scared or put off by that, and reacted defensively, badly, or just differently than they might otherwise have as a result...
