G'day out there folks! I have collected news stories over the last week and I'll be writing a weekly "catch up" so to speak. Also, I re-edited an older photo over the weekend and it gave me the opportunity to post this photo. Including a great giveaway from +Erik Stensland  and his upcoming book as well as my new photography resource website for brides in Crested Butte.

Read my weekly roundup here: http://www.ryanwrightphotoblog.com/weekly-roundup-2-24-14/

As for the photo, that can be found here - http://ryanwrightphoto.photoshelter.com/image/I00005guxNgzpznk

One of my favorite scenes I've ever photographed and one that will stay with me for a long time, Schwabacher Landing at sunrise in Grand Teton National Park. A client just purchased a huge metal print of this - http://www.ryanwrightphotoblog.com/metal-prints/

My Year in Review

This year has been quite the rollercoaster but an overall great year nonetheless. Photography continues to be a great passion of mine and I'm always learning to be better and more consistent. Thank you to everyone who has supported my photography, I'm so humbled. God bless, and Merry Christmas.

Over the weekend #Boulder got a few inches of snow and a day full of icy fog that blanketed everything in a pristine white. This is one of my favorite photos that I've taken this year and now I just have to track down the owner(s) of the home to see if I can that property release.

Enjoy and feel free to share with your circles!

I really do want to share more winter photos, I guess that means I'll have to go take some this weekend.

For now, a field of sunflowers near Denver International Airport taken last summer. Pretty crazy night out there, the smoke from wildfires really helped in these photos.

Hey everyone, I recently reprocessed this photo using some of +VSCO's tool, including their Film 04 pack. I'm very happy with how it turned out and look forward to going through my archives to see what I might be able to improve.

Oh, and I blogged about VSCO and their products. You can find that blog here - http://www.ryanwrightphotoblog.com/vsco-film-01-review/

Occupation
I'm doing photography full time, fine-art landscape and portraiture photography. I also work as a graphic designer. I moved to Boulder to help out with a church plant and pursue photography more seriously. Can't say it's been a painfree experience but if it's worth anything, it won't be painfree.

I loved my experience in the Alaskan wild with Carl and Expeditions Alaska. I went for a week long trip in the "spring" of 2012 to Wrangell-St. Elias National Park for a photography-centric expedition with 3 other guys. Carl was very knowledgeable about the area and offered many suggestions about locations to photograph, and different activities to seek out during the day. We stayed in a backcountry cabin in the park and while there was no running water or electricity, that didn't stop Carl from whipping up very tasty dinners. Carl was very personable and by the end of the week, we had so many running jokes that it was almost non-stop laughter and playful teasing. I would jump at the chance to do one of Carl's trip in the summer, and I whole heartily recommend Expeditions Alaska. I wrote a blog about my experience which can be found here - http://www.ryanwrightphotoblog.com/trip-to-wrangell-st-elias-national-park/

I'm really loving getting to know the community at the Well and seeing their hearts to make disciples is always encouraging. The pastors/elders point to Jesus in all things and want to see people know Jesus.
